Sometimes it’s better to stop trying to understand life and actually start experiencing it.

Even though some pondering can be great for us, it’s important not to get lost overanalyzing everything that happens because our own way of thinking might be limited by language and influenced by harmful tendencies of our culture. Trying to fit our own lives into a cohesive and clear narrative can cause unnecessary disappointment.

People have the habit of walking all over you. It hurts but denying the fact that people are forgetful and that a favor is seldom returned is naive to the point of stupidity. You need to understand that you are not supposed to carry the burden of the world. You were never entrusted the responsibility to be the better person. If something or someone bothers you, walk away. Trust me. Saying no is a less talked about virtue but a skill all the same. You need to understand that you don’t need to be scared of offending people. People may not like you. But at night, when you switch off your lights, there’s going to be just one and at most two people on your mind. If they are happy, if you are happy, I do not believe you need to worry about making yourself sad just for the sake of others.
