Ahoy hoy... I'm awkward

21-just some random shit

Made this Joltik as a commission. :)

I tried something new here. Instead of making and attaching the spikes seperately, I made them part of the main body by continuing off the same piece. This makes them blend in much nicer.

hey I wonder what happens if I put powdered milk into carbonated water

my cereal is loud and it's demanding to know why I would sin against both nature and god so thoughtlessly

...how does it taste?

the fizz comes from carbonic acid in the water splitting up into CO₂ and H₂O over time. And carbonic acid is – as an acid – sour.

By adding milk to sour water you've created a very convincing emulation of spoiled milk, so I'll believe in a heartbeat that the taste is Not Great™.

I have mastered the potion: Instant Spoiled Milk, therefore earning the rank of shittiest alchemist currently alive.

I'm generally of the opinion that if your film requires so much cgi that your actors are performing against nothing but green screens, maybe you should just be making an animated film instead. Because you're basically already making one anyway.

So I just learned from the official Sonic Instagram account that Sega has a Shadow statue in one of their buildings

In case anyone’s wondering, this appears to be the same one that was on display at E3 to promote Shadow’s game. Yes, the statue where there are multiple images of people posing in front of it execution-style

Shocking how many people don’t know that hens lay non-fertilized eggs and think the yolk they’re eating is a baby chicken

once tried desperately to make my friend understand that yolks were not, like, a liquified potentiality of chicken, and she looked at me for a while and then said, "but they’re both yellow."

Behold

A chicken

Image descriptions that incidentally make the joke infinitely funnier.

You know how occasionally you'll come across a game where the cover art between two regions is so drastically different you need to comment on it

Version 1 (North America):

  • very cute, very abstract, with a simple but eye-catching color palette
  • cute details like the little prince peeking out from inside the house at all his cousins
  • all together an original and endearing design, something that'll stay with me long after I finish the game

Overall I think it's a solid cover, 7/10.

Version 2 (Japan):

  • contains literally the entirety of the in-house development team in front of their office
  • a real, costumed prince alongside several other mascots
  • a tiny cow
  • a roof giraffe alongside several monkeys
  • the cute little cut out boards with messages like "we enjoy 塊魂"
  • that one dude holding the "し" sign

I give it a 10/10.
