When you unlock your family’s tragic backstory and you feel the weight in of the world coming down on your shoulders. You’re still just a child, how could they release all this trauma onto you? You pick yourself up and keep going. You’re going to grow up soon. You’re going to leave, and you don’t have to keep in contact. You don’t have to stay. That’s enough for now.

Guy at school tried to get me to join track since I did cross country and I tried really hard to nicely decline. Well now it’s track season, they’re doing practice and running downtown, my truck is currently broken and I have to walk every where so I keep seeing them running while walking home from my job. I try really hard to avoid eye contact and not look at them. They always notice me. How I imagine our interactions:
