#english state school#ya we had 1hr every week of RE in secondary#we covered the broad beliefs of the major religions and then learnt abt social issues through their perspectives#like euthenasia#poverty#lgbt#contraception#etcccc#tho my primary school was a Church of England school so there was more religion#we sang hymns in the morning and cid the Lord’s Prayer and shit and bare in mind this was a state school lmao#almost re was focussed on the bible here#we even had a group called ‘walk through the bible’ come every week and we’d learn by rote some bible story using hand signals ????????????#genuinely weird lmao#the church visits#nativities. and christingles etc are standard fare of a CofE school but the bible shit lmaooooo#uk
