ON THIS DAY: The rings of glorious Saturn, observed by the Voyager 2 space probe, August 17, 1981.
Today I got to have the "fat is not a bad word, just a neutral descriptor" talk with one of my coworkers. I made a joke about liking colder temperatures because I'm fat and he tried to do the whole, "Oh nooooo, you're not fat! Don't say that!" and I had to shut him down like. Buddy. Pal. I am fat and that's ok to admit.
Then my new trainee piped in with, "I think the technical term is 'caked up'." And I was so damned proud 🥹

One year ago today I posted this miniature Shape of Water creation of mine. All shot practically using foil for water, miniatures and figures.
Did you know that leeches were once used to predict storms? Well, a tornado warning just dropped and my squad is climbing
My dad is a meteorologist and he has never once warned me about an incoming storm. My leeches, however......

*urgently* Lads, the leechometre is at 12 bong, I repeat, 12 bong!
"tempest prognosticator" absolutely sounds like some kind of arcane device a wizard would have lying around in his workshop
It would also probably have leeches in it.
Its time for Big Ike’s feeding.
