I took about 10 minutes today to style the doll @batchix gave me, and grab some quick photos so I could experiment with lighting. The pants/overalls are a Scrap PDX, the dark wig is a @funnylori freebie, and the sweater was a cheap find on Amazon. I dunno why, but this doll keeps giving me such 80’s chunky style vibes. SO. If I can take decent portraits of a doll, how ‘bout you come sit for me? Let me try to figure out lighting? Take some portraits I can use to make art? To some degree I can drag lighting and stuff with me. Sorta depends on if a car is available.

This! Is an actual outfit I was PROUD of! those are shorts. I was hoping it was my leather skirt but no. After I got my breast reduction all faux modesty was out the window and I wore as little as possible. My friend Tim and I, black sheep of Greenville High School. that shirt was so damn pretty. the boots laced to the knees and had no zipper. So your girl was unlacing and lacing them back on before and after gym every fucking day my senior year.

Sorry for the silence. Been working and getting dolls done and sent. Here’s two things I’ve been working on recently!
Made Cookie decent for IG real quick. Hurray for hot glue! I got the hair on Aliexpress and made her this wig! I love the way it turned out. Her looks were inspired by 1960’s dolls- especially furga. She poses great, I’ve hot glue suedes her joints. The one thing I might change is to give her different hip joints instead od the balls out look. Also, last picture, she has cellulite on her butt and I love it.
She's mature MSD sized, so about 42cm. I'm trying to see if there's interest in a preorder for her. She'd probably be around $425 or so for the blank doll. She'll have high heel feet with heels she can wear and I may make some more hands for her.
Anyway, if you're interested in her pass this around! the more people I get interested in a pre-order the sooner I can start it!

In August 2019, I held an auction for a doll face up of any kind in order to raise funds for the El Paso Community Foundation. The winner was my dear friend @u4bik, who is not only the most patient soul on this Earth, but also owner of one of my most favorite bjd characters, Skuld. They asked me to paint Skuld's human faceplate to have skull themed face paint but with space in the negative spaces. Two of my favoritest things! Her flesh was dusted with white and pearlescent pastels while everything else is watercolor and mica powders. We contemplated adding iridescent starburst glitters but opted to go with painted stars instead. In order to slightly make up for my tardiness, I made a pair of resin eyes. One pair with white scleras (top) and the other with black (bottom), but both filled with all the glitter and shinnies! I am so happy to know this face plate is back home safe and sound and it was such an honor to paint for them ❤️

Skuld is one of five? I think? encapsulated skull heads I made about six or seven years ago. They aren’t easy to do and people were MUCH pickier about bubbles back then so I stopped producing them.
Thank you for providing that info! I was too excited to upload the photos that I forgot to ask for the sculpt name, and when I did get the info I got distracted and forgot to update this before it spread. Good job me. But I'm very happy to see what a human-y Lagoon looks like! XD

Emilia is making a short video series on how she creates tiny wigs with hot glue. I'm going to be giving this a try soon, it looks just my speed! The way she manipulates the glue makes the caps nice and thin, and would work up quickly (instead of waiting days for pva glue to dry).
And I think the glue gun she's using is a variation of this one. I already ordered and received it; it feels so light and I think it will work really well.
I tried this out yesterday! It worked really well!
I live in an art/craft supply dessert and our michaels doesn’t carry very many glue guns so I ended up having to go to hobby lobby where I found a SUPER low temp hot glue gun. Like Emilia I have high heat tolerance on my fingers from years and years of hot glue and metalsmithing and what not, but this super low temp gun(that has a long nozzle) doesn’t burn my fingers at all.
Also good about the low temp gun, I’m pretty sure I can use it on synthetic hair. I used it on acrylic roving last night.
Ignore how messy it is. I love big hair on dolls and I can’t wait to curl this up!

I have three 9in Little Parfaits in Strawberry Milk skintone still up on my IG! She’s $200 + shipping. Face-ups are $25 and body blushing is $60. Both are done in alcohol ink which may stain the doll if it’s removed(91% alcohol will take it right off). I work better with the more water-color like nature of the alcohol inks and it’s more durable as well.
