I like how in “Little Green Men” Scully doesn’t try to reassure Mulder that he hasn’t been seeing elves/little green men this whole time.

“Mulder, even if George Hale only saw elves in his mind, the telescope still got built. Don’t give up.”

In other words: “Mulder, you may very well be stark raving mad, but that madness has led me to you and I’ll follow you anywhere, so keep going.”

Summary: When things aren’t adding up following the events of Dreamland, Mulder and Scully look for evidence of what happened. They find the CCTV footage of them leaving Kersh’s office… i.e. a contrived situation which allows Mulder and Scully to watch ‘Mulder’ slap Scully on the butt.

It started small, with two coins fused together and a general sense of wrongness. The term was vague and un-scientific, and she’d never hear the end of it if she said it to Mulder – but nevertheless, something was just off.

The clincher, to me, was CC wanting to replace GA with Pheobe's actress because he believed she had better chemistry with DD. And we ALL saw the type of chemistry her character had in the episode; and even though Scully was protecting her friend rather than jealously guarding her crush, she was obviously set up as a foil to Mulder and Pheobe's relationship.

Yeah but CC didn't want it to be one. Or rather, he didn't want whatver Mulder and Scully had to overshadow his bigger picture.

It wasn't CC though, was it? Who wanted to replace Gillian? I thought it was Fox. There was zero chemistry between DD and the Phoebe actress. Less than zero.
