Mostly a blog about homesteading and concepts of post collapse society. Fjarlslander and tribalist. Notice: None of the information on this blog is to be considered advice or instructions, all actions and decisions are your own.

Idk why I'm envisioning a villain or evil baron's mountain house. But I guess I'm designing it anyway.

we need a term for people who care about the environment and stuff but aren't shills and sell-outs for big businesses that are almost entirely and solely responsible for the dangers the environment faces

How about: “Responsible”?

I am a conservationist. I don’t believe the BS and also don’t believe in shitting where I eat. Many of us who hunt and fish etc all feel the same way.

Yeah, I've been saying Conservationist for years now.

Modern Ice Age thoughts again today. Currently, my brain is working on how to properly construct a utilidor from a basement to a garage/workshop.

A thought that just a occurred to me. In the event of a climate shift, even long before any glaciers start to form, the depth of the frost line would change pretty much everywhere. The main reason for the popularity of basements in northern latitudes is because foundations already need to be dug below the frost line.

This means that as the winters get worse and summers milder, most small buildings south of the Mason-Dixon line would suddenly have inadequate foundations.
