oh heck I love that “the rabbit in the moon” is The Hollow Knight because in Japanese mythology the rabbit was immortalized in the moon after throwing itself into a fire to feed a starving old man, and is therefore a symbol of self-sacrifice which was used as a motif on Samurai armor showing that they were prepared to die for their Lord and. huh

Kin and Moth, the Broken Vessel and the Greenpath Vessel respectively, are the second “eldest” of the vessels per se. They serve as the Knight Captains, controlling the royal guards and soldiers.

Kin spends most of their pastime reading or wanting to explore Hallownest as much as they can, which led to the decision of them being in charge of affairs outside of the City of Tears.

Moth spends most of their time making things such as clothes, sometimes even toys such as dolls for the smaller vessels. They prefer to stay indoors and close to home, leading to the decision of them being in charge of affairs in the castle mostly.

Okay so from what we can hypothesize about PK’s body composition from the cast-off shell he seems to be covered in a series of rigid plates that are folded over each other such that they can articulate.

Generally when I draw him this adapts into roughly leaf-shaped scales to cover a complicated body that features an upright torso as well as a long tail.

It’s likely those scales are flexible and mobile.

Conclusion, if you managed to get the drop on PK and startle him faster or more severely than his reflex for Kingly Dignity could save him he would bristle up like an artichoke
