Took a break from animating pixels on King Knight to try some line animation!
GIF from our Ludum Dare 42 game jam in which I did the art. The theme was “Running Out of Space.” Naturally, you play as a Parking Valet. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/keys-please
Dark Souls: Demastered
Most recent mock-up I put together for Fara before the game got shelved~
A transformation animation I did last year of Fara’s little sibling Peggy. Looks like I never posted it here for some reason!
6 of HackyZack’s 8 playable characters I made for the game! The game is out NOW and you can play here~! <333 Support is so greatly appreciated. =)
Interesting comparison of changes I’ve made to Fara’s sprites over the course of a year (based on the same initial concept art by @goquest)~
Quick little animation to celebrate our Spaceboy Games partnership with the cutest little platformer, Pepper Grinder~!!

8-Directional Sprite Tutorial Part 2 (Walk Cycle)! Animating in all 8 directions might seem like a daunting task, but hopefully following these steps makes it seem more manageable. =3

I've had some requests for a tutorial on creating 8-Directional sprites and animation cycles. Here's Part 1 of the tutorial and I will post Part 2 very shortly! Thanks!
In this new tutorial I wanted to follow-up on the previous (Walk Cycles) explanation with a few tricks to give your character's walk some added emotion. All of these cycles were made using the same techniques applied in the default walk cycle with various adjustments used to give the character more defined purpose.
As always, you can find all of the files used to create this tutorial here! https://www.patreon.com/bandygrass
Next tutorial is already in the works! Thanks everyone!
There will be a new tutorial coming this weekend; it's nearly complete! In the meantime, I'd like to introduce you to your guides for the foreseeable future~
I also want to extend an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to all new Patrons and everyone who has been generously supporting either these new tutorials and/or my artwork as of late. You are what makes me love learning and creating so much. I wouldn't be doing this without you and this wonderful community of artists and developers alike. <3
I'm really excited to be posting my first animation tutorial! I've done my best to explain things as thoroughly as possible.
In the next tutorial, I want to cover adding expression to a walk cycle. You'll be amazed by how simple tweaks can completely change your character's personality.
You can check out a Hi-Res version, a High-Quality PNG of this tutorial as well as the raw Animated GIFs I used right HERE: patreon.com/bandygrass
Let me know whether you found this helpful and whether there's anything that's still confusing or which you'd like covered in the future! Thanks! :D
