Tem Tem BUT it's Yami Bakura/TKB using it to the sole purpose of messing with him.
If you don't know what to vote for and need some propaganda to see that Tem Tem would be the ultimate nickname to mess with Atem... this poll inspired me and I wrote a little something :3
What better way to piss off your mortal ennemi than to be nice and give them no reason to pick on you?
Or Ryou forces Yami Bakura to socialise and Bakura decides to piss off Atem with the power of kindness.
If ygo was a slasher movie...
...who would take which role? Ft. Yugi, Bakura and Marik taking their various Yamis out to a secluded mountain mansion to make friends and be better.
Continuation of yesterday's post because I couldn't stop thinking about it.
The killer is ... Yami Marik.
Why would he take any other role? He is having fun getting to stab everyone up close and personal. He's here, he's thriving, he's laughing maniacally the whole time even when the Final Girl sets the mansion on fire, and he dies in a giant explosion inside.
Yami Yugi ... dies first.
When a dumb plan of his own making backfires on him, he dies a horribly gruesome death in front of everyone, setting the entire gang on edge. Might or might not have been a ploy to switch sides and the elaborate saw traps the gang comes across from here on out for sure don't redeem him.
Bakura ... falls victim to the occult side plot.
There are no supernatural elements to this story, but Bakura's death never fails to make you question anyway. Is there a whole racist subplot involving Native American folklore after all? Or is Bakura actually a villain sympathizer? He had a few questionable moments of companionship with Yami Marik after all. Sadly, you will never know because he died way too early to make anything substantial out of his subplot.

Though they should be the characters with the highest chances of survival, they're both heavily opinionated and follow their convictions to the bitter end when they die an uncharacteristically stupid death because of them. The writers were hoping to elevate their movie from trashy fun to artistic masterpiece by making cutting edge commentary on current social issues but failed spectacularly, and either of their deaths end up feeling vapid and meaningless.
The self-sacrificing best friend is ... Yugi.
While actually compassionate and caring, Yugi is often misread by the greater audience as useless and naive instead because he puts saving his friends over his own safety. By the end of the movie it is unclear if the writers themselves still remember that Yugi was supposed to be heroic and he dies a completely avoidable death as part of a meaningless sacrifice.
The Final Girl is ... Atem or Yami Bakura.
Convoluted plot armor and extreme resilience carry them all the way to the final explosion when they get their lesbian-coded ending. One pushes the other over the finish line, sacrificing himself so the other will survive and forever carry the other's memories with him. Whether those memories are genuinely positive or resentful depends on who makes it.

48hr tumblr blackout proposal
tumblr mobile has seadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.
examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.
the demands of the protest would be along the lines of:
- reverse the recent image viewer update
- scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting
- let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely
- increase efforts against spam / porn bots
- make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam
- let us go nuts show nuts again... for real this time
- commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!
- (suggestions welcome!)
to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.
I suggest the 48 hours between the 30th of June to the end of the 1st of July.
this marks the end of pride month (for the "queerest place on the internet") and the start of disability month (since accessibility is a massive issue here).
tumblr office is in San Francisco, USA, so the times and dates will be calculated using their time zone (PDT).
i can't afford to blaze this post so please spread it around as much as possible! protests only work if significant numbers show up!
tumblr rejected the blaze campaigns for this post because they know it would hurt them. let's make this an indefinite blackout - it's the best way to get results.
