If you ever feel bad for not finishing a project before moving onto another, remember 4Kids straight up killed Jaden Yuki off at the second to last episode of season 3 so they didn’t have to dub season 4 and could dub 5Ds instead (which they also didn’t finish).

The second to last episode of Season 3 ends on a cliffhanger in which Jaden supposedly dies because he goes off to “save” the villain, leaving everyone to think he’s dead. The last episode has him coming back in time for season 4. 4kids didn’t want to dub season 4, presumably because of 5Ds, though at the time everyone just assumed it was because Season 4 of GX was “too dark” for them, so instead they made the second to last episode of GX the S3 the last dubbed one, meaning that Jaden never came back and was left dead forever.
