When I lost hope, you were there to remind me                                             This is the start

Annlett

When you touched me, my soul felt a little less heavy and war-torn.

My heart, it found a home in you.

“If you truly mean that, you’ll go away with me.”

Turn | Benediction (3.03)

Hewlett will never forget his principles, but as this scene shows, if there’s one person he’s willing to compromise them for, it’s Anna. He knows that the law is against him, he knows her reputation, he knows that marrying her like this would be immoral and illegal, and he doesn’t care, because his recent cynicism and determination have brought him to a place where law and reputation and righteousness simply don’t matter in the face of love. As much as I love Hewlett’s sense of honor, and as much as I fear that his besotted blindness won’t ultimately survive in the face of true betrayal, it’s his little compromises like this that give me hope.

Love how he compromises for only her!

“I know this is difficult, waiting, but try not to worry. I have faith we’ll hear the right news.”

“It’s not that.”

Allow me to - thi- this is not a, um, gesture, or an advance in any way.

“I am done running, Anna.”

Have I ever told y’all this couple stole my heart and then stomped on it?
