“From now on”
I had this idea for Gladion Day and maaaaaaaaan was it a pain trying decide on the lighting and colour palette ;;; Mostly because the silver white and cold blue of Aether Paradise does not look anything like welcoming or happy (for obvious game narrative reasons, but still 8′D)….
As mentioned before, I like to imagine that pre-runaway-from-home, Lusamine dressed Gladion like Kartana.
Editing? Oh you mean fic patching.
- Protagonist now has more complex motivations.
- Protagonist now remembers key facts about important people. He no longer develops convenient amnesia between cutscenes.
- Protagonist now has a cooldown on certain adverbs. Adverbs have been buffed by 30% to compensate.
- Developer note: Adverbs are important to writing but they are sometimes overused. This change keeps adverbs relevant while encouraging the use of adjectives and verbs.
- The horse now has a name.
- Deuteragonist snark power has been increased to 150, up from 75.
- Characters now no longer reference the previous version’s climate and have been updated to react appropriately to the currently set season.
- Solved a glitch where supernumerary limbs would sometimes emerge during complex physical interactions.
- Should no longer display “[insertnamehere]” during conversations and narration. All of such occurrances have been replaced with the appropriate tags.
- Conversation continuity has been improved. Characters will no longer inappropriately respond with lines from previous iterations of the narrative.
- All references to “Event A” have been purged to reflect changes in narrative structure.
- Now with more thematically-consistent swearing.
Oh dang guess I have to trust all these people who say it won't become a hyperfixation and read the comic. I'm sure nobody on the internet would ever lie to me
keep us posted :)
big backpack for a little guy but it's a little backpack for a big guy
ALRIGHT FOLKS
ah yes, the world's toughest choice: a super buff superpowered shirt-ripping feral side unleashing the raw fury of nature, or being literally dead
Shout out to anyone that ever made a character that’s a ‘Secret Government experiment’ that escapes the lab and is now wanted and misunderstood. That’s top tier character design, thank you.
I started Hebrew, which is why I’ve been dead on this blog, but I don’t think I can ever properly convey to you guys the sheer cultural whiplash of spending years learning Japanese from Japanese teachers and then trying to learn Hebrew from an Israeli
- Japanese: you walk into class already apologizing for being alive Hebrew: you walk into class, the teacher insults you and you are expected to insult her back
- Japanese: conjugates every single verb based on degree of intended politeness, nevermind keigo and honorifics Hebrew: Someone asked my teacher how to say “excuse me” and she laughed for several seconds before saying we shouldn’t worry about remembering that since we’ll never need to say it
- Japanese: if you get one stroke wrong the entire kanji is incomprehensible Hebrew: cursive? script? fuck it do whatever you want, you don’t even have to write the vowels out unless you feel like it
- Japanese: the closest thing there is to ‘bastard’ is an excessively direct ‘you’ pronoun Hebrew: ‘bitch’ translates directly
The span of human experience is so insane.
- why would you hide this in the tags
- i desperately want to learn hebrew right this very minute
Wizard who got tired of fighting and casts fucked up unethical spells like “super brain hemorrhage” to end them faster
One time I did “Summon Water” inside a guys lungs and the GM allowed it because he had been playing for years and never seen anyone do that
Me “I can raise the temperature of a space by 5 degrees (Fahrenheit) per success” DM “Okay.” Me “And that’s 6 successes, so 30 degrees…” DM “Okay…” Me “And ‘inside the human body’ is a space, right?” DM “…I don’t like where this is going.” Me “So I’m going to raise the temperature inside his body 30 degrees.” DM “Yeah, so he’s dead now. He was fine, and then went through all the stages of heat stroke in half a second before his body went ‘No thank you’ and just shut off to stop it from being so hot. Good job.”
