This might be harsh but I think those who equate “good character design” to “character I would fuck” and express outright disgust at designs who dared to fall outside their conventional beauty norms should be trapped in the amulet for a thousand years. minimum

While I'm personally still completely split on if it was actually Gregory, or the Mimic that cut the elevator (Assuming that does end up being the canon ending of the DLC), as I've seen some REALLY good arguments for both sides, there's one point on the "It was the Mimic!" side I've seen around I'd like to throw a bit of a ripple in: "If it was Gregory, why did he guide Cassie to the elevator, instead of just letting the Mimic kill her?"

Well, if we look at the books...

...Death by Mimic is... horrific and painful. To say the least

Death via a long elevator drop very well might have been an attempt to give her a quick mercy death. Making it all the more tragic IF it was Gregory that cut the elevator.

It wouldn't have been in cold blood, it would have been a kid that felt he was forced to make such a dire decision in a scenario with NO good outcomes, and at least tried to make it as fast and painless as possible with what he had...

(Absolutely no character hate, for the record! Just genuinely loving looking at all the aspects to this mystery, it's fun sgahdjsgaj)

Also: while we’re doing checkpoints, make sure you’re on WiFi and not data

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

I love this scene so much because as artists and creators of things we just never really know how the things we make will effect other people. What we do is sometimes hard and choosing to stick with it sometimes seems like SO much work with so little reward. Primarily I make art for the personal joy I get from seeing a new thing exist that did not before, but the idea that my art could help, inspire, or bring joy to others too is really powerful. ♥
