There was something equally powerful about Rosa proudly proclaiming that being in a committed relationship wasn't essential to her happiness: she has friends and work that satisfies her and doesn't need a partner in order to feel whole... it was a real tribute to the character, one of the show's most important not because of how she slowly opened up over the years, but because her evolution never came at the cost of the factors which made her so indelibly herself. - [collider]

Ugh, this sucks. You didn’t get to arrest Francia. I didn’t get to see Mac pulled up. I guess we really can’t do it all. I don’t know. I mean, you got to do the work thing and I got to do the parent thing. So, together, we did do it all.
