One thing that I like about sxf is that despite being a shonen (with not a teenager protagonist), Endo makes Twilight hot and very capable, but at the same time, make it hard for fans to give him harem.

Like, Endo does create lots of awesome women, but it is clear that Twilight has no (romantic) interest at them at all.

The fact that both - especially Twilight - have given up even appearing civil to each other and letting their pure annoyance known is actually real progress. Always good to be honest with your family, even if it’s just to let them know they are a real pain in the behind, like having a bullet in the butt.

I think Yor’s jealousy and insecurities during the Tennis Arc was about herself as much as it was about her relationship with Loid. Fiona’s appearance threatened her place in the family. But it was also about the failure of being ‘normal’.

The main reason why Yor chose to marry Loid was because she believed that he was the only one who could accept her as she is. If Loid decided to replace her, in her mind, this meant that she could never have a “normal life” as no one would ever accept her.

I don’t think Yor really understood why she felt threatened by Fiona so she fell back to the excuse of not wanting to worry Yuri/not having a cover for her job. She’s become attached to the Forgers and also to the “ordinary” life that she craves deep down.

i go kind of wild thinking about this panel because it's the first one that blatantly confirms the theory i've had for years that the rejection of fate is an ability both ichigo and orihime share and that, on a surface level ichigo's bankai is really confusing because it doesn't have an obvious "type" (water, ice, fire, etc, which is interesting when you realize engestu is a fire type but zangetsu....isn't) but on a thematic level it makes sense that fate is his domain considering ichigo has bounced back time and time again from situations he shouldn't have (death, the vasto lorde takeover, the loss of his powers and the old man's warning about it's permanence). it's not surprising for ichigo to possess this because, on a meta level, he's a protagonist in this genre and in this genre, protagonists always win, but i do think this remark is interesting because of how similar their powers are after all. they shape the world according to their own makings, their whole shtick is to make the impossible possible with his bankai and her rejection of events, which is why the irony hits so good when you realize they're both the most human among the entire main cast. who stood in an enemy's shoes and grieved for them? who has repeatedly emphasized this need to protect people that stems from childhood grief and trauma? who settled down in a small town with a job in an area they're passionate about? both of them. they're deeply powerful – almost godlike – but their goals, their dreams, the thing that drives them is almost always deeply human.

*MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD*

I’ve joked elsewhere that it’s funny - and maybe a bit telling? - how in Yor’s drunken fantasy, Loid is the (hot) Twilight version of himself.

But perhaps the more interesting thing here is that Yor has actually noticed there’s a side of Loid that’s Like That. As much as Twilight plays Loid as a sweet, charming, harmless family man, deep down Yor senses something else. It’s just taken her really drunk to acknowledge it. Once again supporting Twilight’s first impressions of his wife - she is both extremely perceptive but also dense as a rock.

That, or Yor’s type is just dark and brooding but also her husband. So, basically, her husband when he’s not trying so hard.

Who knows.

A 100% wish fulfillment ❤️‍🩹 (a type of lie in a sense) for the Twiyor/Loidyor fandom.
