I gave up my struggle with perfection a long time ago. That is a concept I don’t find very interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs. I think that is where some of the pressure comes from. Be happy. Be yourself, the day is about a lot more.

Happy birthday, darling.

I hate talking to the Internet but I can’t get asked another question about my hygiene on this press tour. I told MTV I didn’t wash my hands after going to the bathroom because I was trying to gross out Josh and Liam and I ended up grossing out the world. Of course I wash my hands after going to the bathroom! (I can’t believe I’ve put myself in a situation where I even have to say that.) Anyway with all the rumors I’ve ever heard about myself this is the one I really had to put to rest. -Jen

I believe we have a choice in this world about how to tell sad stories. On the one hand, you can sugarcoat it. The way they do in movies and romance novels… Where beautiful people learn beautiful lessons, where nothing is too messed up that can’t be fixed with an apology and a Peter Gabriel song. I like that version as much as the next girl does, believe me. It’s just not the truth. This is the truth. Sorry. “The Fault in Our Stars” (2014)
