liberal feminism is really appealing because it’s all about immediate gratification. it’s all about short term solutions.
it’s a lot easier to say “everyone is beautiful” than to truly eliminate the idea that beauty = worth. it’s a lot easier to say “some people are actually the other gender” than to eliminate all ideas of gender and enforced stereotypes. it’s a lot easier to find empowerment in the things that hurt you than to actually work to acquire real power and throw those standards away.
it works short term, but oppression is more than a mindset, so your solution must be more than a mindset as well
