old sparkledogs and cat ocs in the files of old computers. wings extended forever in flight, tears frozen on their face from an event in a backstory long forgotten

the drawings made of others characters, in folders on a forgotten friend's computer, forever visiting, immortalized in drawings of silly inside jokes and gift-giving between amateurly-drawn colorful animals

a colorful cast, lined up in a row in a half-finished microsoft paint bitmap–smiling faces filled only most-of-the-way with the fill bucket tool. the comic text says "happy birthday!!!" the drawing was never finished, the gift was never sent. its they've been their birthday for 13 years in their eyes and they've never stopped smiling

colors paint-bucket-filled into downloaded free bases–folders of which still sit unused, waiting to spark new ideas, in a long-forgotten folder. most of them the well-known default colors until their artist realized how to use the custom color button

forever in a looping animation, only a third of the way finished–the artist wanted to animate like they saw online, those four frames probably took them weeks of frustration before the project was dropped–but their character is still running, for the rest of time, at 3 frames per second

one time a casual hockey fan tried to convey this experience to me from the other side as: "it's like... okay, imagine that you like donuts, and you meet a guy who also likes donuts, and you're like, hey, cool, we both like donuts! but this guy... he built his house out of donuts"

so now when I trip into a new fandom I'm like "oh shit I'm building this house out of donuts"

i love when a character has something terrible happen to them and as a result they see themself as, essentially if not literally, a ghost. and so that means they only can (and have to) do what ghosts do, ie get revenge and then cease to exist. easy as that. but then halfway through this ghost vengeance they realize hey actually i might still be a human person. with human needs. that’s incredibly inconvenient, considering how much i’ve invested in this whole ghost thing

star trek actors are so strong for doing technobabble with a straight face. if you asked me to talk about how the technicron particles are mainlining the quantum blorbonator I would fall apart immediately

ANDRÉ BORMANIS (science consultant, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
An important lesson on technobabble came to me courtesy of Terry Farrell. I was at my first Deep Space Nine wrap party at the end of second season, and it’s the first time I’ve ever been to wrap party so it was like a pretty big deal to me. I’m walking around and talking to the people I know. And I see Terry Farrell standing off by herself. I’d never actually met her, so I sheepishly go up and introduce myself to her, and I said, “Ms. Farrell, I’m André Bormanis.” “Oh, nice to meet you. What do you do on the show?” I’m like, “I’m the science consultant. I’m the guy who puts all that technobabble into your dialogue.” And she literally grabbed me by the lapels and lifted me off my feet. She’s six feet tall. She’s a very tall, striking woman. She’s, like, “You fucking asshole!” And she starts shaking me, and I’m, like, “I’m sorry, it’s my job!”

Please stop attacking the past versions of you. They were doing their best at the time and they got you here. It’s amazing how much progress you’ve made and how much you’ve grown but please don’t think your past self lacked worth in any way.

It’s mentioned how much Crowley hated the 14th century, and it’s passed off as a joke, almost seven centuries later. But it wasn’t a joke at the time.

Once again borrowed @10yrsyart‘s designs for a short comic with very little context. Aziraphale is there in dark monk robes, and Crow is in a dark room surrounded by dead bodies, half out of his mind with terror. He’s also wearing lighter-colored clothes, which he wouldn’t do unless under duress. Either way, he’s not having a good time.

(I’m so grateful that 10 is patient with me borrowing their designs. I had six hours of meetings to sit through today and this was low key keeping me sane.

Sometimes I cope with long meetings in dimly lit rooms with constant loud stimulation by beating up Crowley, okay?)

this kills the man, Firefly (the “man” being me ofc). i love your page layouts so much, such little details go a long way with building the atmosphere. and poor Crow aaaaaaahhh! he’s certainly not having a good time ToT i dunno what it is, but i just love whenever i see/do the scaley feet (non-shoe version haha).. they’re like lil personal socks, i love them U-U also everything about Az’s look here is a yes from me, very good. anyone who knows Crow knows this ain’t his way, and Az gets that.

and thankyou for being patient with the things i don’t want you to draw, i appreciate you respecting my slow pace l’’’D and drawing these lovely artworks!! <3
