"Ah, my scars. That's.... a bit of a personal story. I'll tell you the full story later, but not now. But you are right, I got my hoodie after I got my injury. An old friend of mine made it for me to hide the scars." Atzin gets a little solemn as he talks about his scars.

Atzin quickly tries to change the subject. Trying to stop thinking about his past. "Anyways, how about we try and do something fun together. Got any ideas? The last time we tried something together, we ended up vomiting and having stomach aches remember?"

(Nick chuckles slightly thinking about it) Oh yeah, heh, kinda funny looking back, but not so funny to be living, either way it was fun while it lasted. You would have won either way unless i paced myself slower, which let's face it, i wouldn't have been able to do.

(Nick) I got this video game recently about demolition motorsports, maybe we can play a bit together?

"I don't know about that one. I tapped out shortly after you left. So the win could've have gone to either one of us."

"Yeah sure, been a while since I played a game. A little virtual destruction never hurt anyone. What's the game called?" Atzin asked, as the sceptile brings the office chair closer to where Nick was.

(Nick) The game's called Wreckfest. It doesn't actually have local multiplayer, rather online multi only, but we can always take turns with it until you get yourself a copy back at your place, assuming you have a computer with Steam on it. I have a variety of cars in the game, but not all of them are customized specifically for use in derbies as some of them need to be fast and agile in order to compete in races. Most of the vehicles I got aren't really anything out of the ordinary, your usual trucks and cars and heavy vehicles. But there are a few oddballs in the game like a lawnmower, a double decker car, a harvester, a couch, and a pig car. That is, an actual pig decoration; not what the internet calls a policeman. There's also a bumper car although that's never actually used in career mode.

"I should still have my computer back home. If my dad hasn't moved it that is, but he would call to tell me if he did."

"Funny to imagine some of those oddball vehicles in a actual derby. How about you take the first turn. So I can see how to play. Been a while since I played, so I might be a little rusty."

A lone barista offers to make a drink. The windows, large and modern like the rest of the store, gave a great look of the world passing by. Pokemon walking talking, and having a great day. Yet, none seemed to come in.

The strange monotone decor and lack of other customers lead to an odd feeling, but still you felt welcomed.

"Sorry if I can't make what you want. But I can definitely try."

The Lycanroc, despite his flat voice tone, looked very excited to be able to brew some new coffee for you.

"If you want something a bit too complicated, if you wait I'm sure the other barista will be here soon..."

With that he turned his concentration back to the cup of coffee he just made, staring at it intently.

at least you seem more polite than that idiot over there. well, since you’re not from umibe town, it makes sense that you wouldn’t know.

[reaching into his yukata, kappa pulls out a folded piece of paper. inside it is some salt, and he takes a pinch of it between his claws.]

the salt from umibe is a superstitious commodity. it’s blessed by lord omukade, so malicious spirits are repelled by it. we use it to protect the town by leaving piles of it around the perimeter to form a barrier, and the less salt there is, the weaker the barrier becomes. here, i’ll show you how effective it is.

[kappa tosses the salt at garappa, and upon contact with him, garappa’s skin starts to burn with a hissing sound.]

GAHHH STOP THAT, I WASN’T EVEN DOING ANYTHING TO YOU!!

there, just like that. i doubt salt alone can actually extinguish a spirit entirely, but it’s pretty useful to have on the road if you’re not a fighter like me. just be careful about touching it directly if it affects you, i guess?
