vito corleone didn’t have smallpox, he had a mental defect/disability (probably autism, it was not discovered at the time but it all matches up), and he was lied to because they thought he wouldn’t understand.
and i have image proof.
this shows what the chalk symbols drawn on people on ellis island means.
and see, if he had smallpox it would be ‘P’ for physical and lung, but he instead had this symbol. a circle with an x inside.
see? it’s the same symbol!
i went to ellis island/immigration museum a while back actually, when i went to nyc for vacation. there was a really interesting display about mental testing in ellis island.

David Allen’s Primevals, an unfinished stop motion film. There’s all kinds of talk they may finish it after 20 years.
I am delighted to announce that after 50 years in production, Primevals, David Allen’s passion project, is finally complete and debuting today at the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada.
Alas, David Allen died at age 54 in 1999. But his friends made his vision come to life.

Spent this week on making a bunch of faux oldschool anime screencaps. Had a blast making these, I’m especially happy with the background in the third one. I’ll probably keep making these, so look forward to more of these in the future!
