Roomie got up from his post-work nap and pulled up a screenshot and shoved his phone forth for me to see.

I had been hoping that this latest round of student-loan forgiveness would apply to him and his chef school loans, and evidently it did. His screenshot shows "Loan Forgiven. Balance $00.00"

It damn well should. He has been faithful paying when he was supposed to for 35 damn years and they showed that twice the origininal amount was STILL owed all these years later. Fucking userous interest.

But that's all done. And he will have one less thing to worry about. About damned time. He's one of the best humans I've met, and I'm lucky he's my roomie.
