QBLR QUARTERLY WEEK 2!

Minecrafters grab your pickaxes, and catch up on the QBLR QUATERLY! What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let's catch up on all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Desnay finishes his base, and Perrito has a concert!

A new emote touches the server, it's the purple guy stand emote. Surely, nothing can go wrong with that emote and so many creatures around.

Smashing last week's record, Cheez logs a total of just under four full 24-hour days on the server. It has been up for 9 days. Does this man sleep? Eat? Stretch maybe?

All this just in time for a special server event! The dark magician who clears dropped items every 15 minutes gathers up all the creatures running around the island, and distributes them to groups of carers! This goes about as well as you'd think for a server of people in the prime age to develop baby fever over a voxel egg.

And for folks who would rather remain childfree, no need for concern! Planned Parenthood opens a clinic on the server where both reproductive health and world hunger concerns can be addressed. Any unwilling parents can pick up an Abortion In A Bottle free of charge!

Of course, there are plenty of folks who have other ventures going on, including the theatre kids' first outpost on the server, and some autistic minecraft behaviors. No, I mean some really autistic minecraft behaviors. This is impressive.

The theme of this week's builds is farms! A lovely community farm where everyone on the server is coming together to create a seed vault and garden that anyone can take a seed from if they're missing a plant.

And of course, there are plenty of new seeds and plants found and collected by the several intrepid world border expeditions! All four borders were reached this week. The border is 30k x 30k in length and width.

If you thought there was only one server event this week, you'd be wrong! Due to timezones and lag reasons, a second creature event was planned and held a day after the original! This event came with complementary drugs!

With two creature events down, the creatures start settling into their new homes and bonding with their new carers. Some creatures are kept in utmost safety, and others partake in activities that perhaps a creature should not be partaking in. As of yet, there are no family vloggers on the server, so that's a win.

While Nightmare Stalkers are nightmarish as the name suggests for the first few nights of having such vulnerable creaturess around, they quickly become nothing more than a regular nuisance. As such, traps and poisons to dispatch them swiftly are set up around the server.

But wait, there's more! That's right it's a third creature event batch! The final group of creatures are assigned carers and begin to settle in.

With all these creatures now assigned, a creature task system begins to be implemented, and carers take photos of the tasks with their creatures to earn tokens. These tokens ARE valuable.

Otherwise, all the creatures begin to make their mark on the world, with players also building many important venues and farms for the server. This includes the server's XP farm, a mob farm designed for lag easing while still providing XP.

And, of course, there are shenanigans aplenty with creatures and residents alike, including picnics, pole dance classes, abyss exploration, and the birth of G-dzilla.

And the second week of the server is aborted peacefully.

What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Lava on the dance floor! There's a party held in a lava pool with Button-Stitches and their carers! Other creatures and carers do some egg-sploring and interior decorating. Newer players build their starter houses, but don't let that fool you: even friend invites are being rate-limited because there's just that many players.

Some players take advantage of the sheer amount of ping lag to add in a sheer amount of FPS lag! Bel, Steel, and their friends have a shader player taking some lovely photographs.

Of course, lore and story are significant on this server, and some eggs have unpleasant pasts. Other eggs make their own unpleasant pasts, by obtaining things like the Evil Knife and Amongus Shoes. In the face of such difficult things, the French quarter shows everyone how to properly cope by slutting it up on the warpstones.

And even though things are tough, love still blooms on the server with the first divorce proposal. Big feelings need big words to express them, but sometimes actions speak better than a word ever could.

And now, The Gubby.

Special Event! A Banquet was held for the members of the server with food and drinks from the community farm! Over 70 people RSVP'd and just as many attended, so much that extra chairs had to be brought in for the table. And a special guest crashed the party, everybody meet White Baby.

The white baby continues to appear around the server. Each time, the sky goes black. It is not friendly. There are two attacks at spawn, an attack at the Bog, and an attack at Pirate Cove. It's targeting the creatures. The Fair Folk begin to build circular gardens, something that has never gone wrong before. And the perimeter of the world is fully explored by resident hope sunsail!

A conspiracy theory against the dark magician begins, and an entire room is built dedicated to it. More creatures populate the server, with one splat receiving a second egg named hima after the japanese word for sunflower. The server's first court case happens -- the Quarterly will release a special episode covering it soon.

Spires of sculk begin to push up from the ground around the server. And oh my goodness me, viewers, does it come with one hell of a biome. A new business opens on the server, residents can now hire a hitman baby!

The admins also open a new business: for the low low price of sacrificing someone with over 40 levels, you can obtain one vial of transmuting elixir! This elixir has many uses, including fighting a boss mob.

And, of course, some more autistic minecraft behaviors vis a vis mining for so long Doll started dying of starvation. Further sculk and void pillars arose and suspicion of the Void Followers begins to brew. Rosa's sharestone disappears. Puzzles and riddles are discovered and solved.

That's just about it for this episode, so we leave the server with a firm You can't be acting like that White Baby

knew this woman who used to be a gay man and when he was a gay man he liked ‘ironically’ referring to himself as she/her and so when he came out as a woman he decided the next logical step was to also switch his pronouns to he/him.

Non-hypermobile people will never know the pure joy that is being able to scratch literally anywhere on your back when it itches.

There are freshly independent possums scattered around my yard like fat little Easter eggs trotting through the grass and bricks at dusk.

Brazil is going through one of the worst climatic crisis ever seen.

i live in the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. we have been suffering from extreme, nonstop rainstorms for a week now. the rivers are flooding, reaching 4-6 meters above their natural level. people are being rescued by helicopters, neighborhoods are being evacuated. entire cities are slowly but surely becoming submerged in water. 60 people missing and counting. 32 deaths and counting.

and this is not new. last november also had a flood like this one. 50 dead, many material losses. it happened again this january, with thousands being left without power or water for days.

three catastrophical disasters within less than a year. three disasters only a few months apart.

this is not natural.

unsustainable agricultural practices and politics led to this. a complete disregard for nature led to this. greed led to this. always greed.

when it comes to the climate crisis, i cannot stress this enough: we need to act now if we still want to live. disasters like this are going to happen more often and they're going to be much, much worse. this flood is being considered the worst climatic catastrophe in the history of my state. i don't know how long it will take for another bigger one to happen and take its place. i just know it will be sooner than it should.
