Mystical Realms

@asmo-tewalker

Wanderer of realms both seen and unseen. As long as sweetness can prevail and there are still ancient dreams and magick to chase, I’ll go on wise and brave.

Man versus The World. The difference between Albert Camus and Franz Kafka. Camus unflinching belief in humanity was rock solid and unshakable. No matter how ugly the world got, there would always be enough beauty inside of mankind, inside of each person, to light up the universe or at least to keep themselves warm and safe from the dark. Just as much as Camus believed in mans victorious outcome against the pressure of the world, Kafka believed in mans inevitable defeat against it. All of Kafkas heros meet the same fate of death, and in his world it is the worlds hopelessness which is rock hard and unshakable.

Sigil Magick

Sigil Magick is one of the simplest and most effective forms of results magick used by contemporary magicians. Once you have grasped the basic principles of sigil magick and experimented with some of the most popular methods of casting sigils, you can go on to experimenting with forms of sigil magick which are unique to you.

The core Sigil Magick process can be divided into six stages, which will be explaind using the acronym S.P.L.I.F.F.

1. Specify Intent

The first stage of the process is that you should get your magical intent clear - as precise as possible without, at the same time, being too overly complicated. Vague intentions usually give rise to vague results, and the clearer the initial statement of intent is, the more likely you are to get accordant results. Make the statement in the present or past tense, as if it has already happened, or is already happening. For example, “I am powerful and grow more powerful every day”, rather than “I want to be more powerful, and grow more powerful every day.” The reasoning being that you are already beginning to cast the spell when formulating the statement of intent, so with the former, you will get what you want, with the latter you will get the result of wanting what you want more, since that’s what you asked for.

2. Pathways Available Generally, sigils are excellent for bringing about precise, short term results, which makes them excellent for works of Results Magick - healing, habit manipulation, inspiration, dream control, and the like. It is generally considered useful if you open a path for the intent to manifest along. For example, if you write a sigil to get money, it helps to have some other possible routes for you to get money, before doing the sigil. The magick increases the probability, but can’t generally work without a reasonable pathway.

3. Link Intent

Once you have decided upon your intent, it can then be turned into a symbolic analogue or code - a signal on which you can focus varying degrees of attention on, without recalling your initial desire. The most common approaches to this are:

(a) Monogram - write out your intent, knock out all repeating letters, and from the rest, design a glyph.

(b) Mantra - write out intent, scramble into a meaningless phrase or word, which can then be chanted. In addition to the above, you can also use other media such as smell, taste, colours, body language, and hand gestures. There are other methods as well. You can just draw a sigil for whatever meaning, based on what you think feels right. Creating the sigil through your attention, links your intention with the symbolic representation of the desire that you’ve requested with the sigil.

4. Intense Gnosis/Indifferent Vacuity Sigils can be projected into the multiverse via an act of Gnosis - usually, but not necessarily, within some kind of ritual/magickal context. Popular routes to Gnosis include: spinning, chanting, dancing, visualization, sensory overload or sensory deprivation, and sexual arousal. The other altered state is that of Indifferent Vacuity - a sort of not-particularly-bothered state. An example of sigil magick by this route is to doodle sigils whilst listening to a talk which is boring, but you have to take notes or, or after meditation to empty the mind.

5.Fire

This is simply the projection of the sigil into the void or multiverse at the peak of Gnosis/Vacuity. Examples of this include orgasm, reaching the point of blackout from hyperventilation, being asked a question about the boring talk that you were supposed to have been listening to, after doing a ritual to clear the mind, repeating the mantra if a mantra was created to block out recursive thought, and so on. There are many methods for charging, and firing, sigils. 6.Forget

Once your sigil has been fired, try to forget the original intent and let the Butterfly Effect or whatever take its course. Forgetting what you just did can often be the hardest part of the process. It sometimes helps to design many sigils at once, so it’s harder to remember what each individual sigil means, when looking at them later. It’s not so bad if the intent is something you don’t really care about (hence beginning with sigils for things you aren’t really too fussed about is a good way to begin experiments), but it is more difficult if it’s something you really want to happen. As long as you don’t dwell on the thoughts when they pop up, it shouldn’t matter too much, and you will get your result. A philosophy the magician Austin Osman Spare had towards magick, and life, was that nothing he did absolutely needed to happen, or mattered, if it did or didn’t. “Does not matter, need not be.” It sometimes seems that when we decide we want something, the more we are able to just believe we will get it, without worrying or caring if we do or don’t, the easier we get it.

can’t wait to commission an oil portrait of myself but make it really fucked up and scary and then i’ll store it in some dusty back room of my manor house and deliberately set up dinner party guests to stumble across it and then when they’re gazing upon its wretched face i can dramatically step out of the shadows and chuckle villainously as i give some half-baked excuse as to why it’s like that and then i’ll usher them back to dinner and spend the rest of the evening dropping hints that add up to me being born sometime in the 1770s despite my obvious youth

If you’re an outsider, it’ll only cause you harm to try & fight it. You can pretend you’re like other people, have a hundred people you’re friendly with, date like it’s going out of style, but at the end of the day it’s not going to make you more well liked, at the end of the day people will like you even less because ordinary people can smell an alien, they know what’s not like them, they know what’s real & what’s fake. You gotta find just one or two people who really like you as you are, & maybe others will learn to appreciate it.

So, I was just thinking...

The root word of communism is “communal” or “community”

The root word of socialism is “social” or “society”

The root word of capitalism is “capital” aka money

Why the hell would you ever want a political system that prioritizes money over society and community?

Like it’s in the fucking name !!!

loneliness really does advance and strengthen like once it makes a home in you it's so hard to feel like your place is with others and it's so easy to get out of practice at sharing who you are because by that point being on your own is an integral aspect of your existence and there's just no way to explain that to anybody
