Important. I’m leaving this blog. And my other blogs, Ask-Comrade-Qibli and A-Croissant. I’m sorry.
Its with a heavy heart that I’m announcing this, but I think its for the best. There are a few reasons for me ceasing updates on this blog.
1. I’m not as interested in the Wings of Fire franchise as I used to be. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy the books, but my main interests and art are not the WOF dragons anymore. I haven’t connected as well with the third arch, and that’s not the franchises fault, but I think that is a main reason for my loss of interest.
2. I don’t have time to update this blog. My life has picked up steam in the last half year, with more work and volunteering than I had when I was first starting this blog out. I’m more and more busy with each coming month, and I simply don’t have the time and energy that I did when I began this blog to dedicate to an ask blog.
3. I don’t want to keep stringing everyone along with promises of new content in the coming weeks to only fall flat. Ever since October, my updating has become less and less frequent, and newer asks don’t seem to resonate as well with me as the old ones. My hiatus ended in November and I barely made a handful of posts since then. I feel terrible for not updating.
A few things to note:
- I’m not going to be deleting this blog or my others. However, I will be renaming all three to indicate that I am no longer using them, and in case anyone else wants to make their own ask blog for the Jade Winglet crew, or even Comrade Qibli for that matter.
- I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of my followers! I cannot express how thankful I am that all 341 of you decided to follow my silly little ask blog for a year, and the fanart that you guys made for me warms my heart. Again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
And most importantly:
- I’m not leaving Tumblr! I have made a new blog, @A-Croissant1, where I will be posting art for things I’m currently interested in and hopefully little comics featuring my snails. Unfortunately, I will not be posting much, if any, Wings of Fire art. I don’t expect many of you to follow me, but it is going to feature the same kind of humor and the same art style that you all know from Ask-Jade-Winglet.
TL;DR: I’m ceasing production on this blog. Thanks everyone for everything, follow me at my new blog @A-Croissant1 if you’d like.
