Scott Cawthon did nothing wrong. He is a man who doesn't lean left. That is his alleged crime to the mob. They doxxed him and his family, and then threatened his family. Tell me how that doesn't sound like a mob.

These people need to understand the world is very, very gray. It is not simply black and white. A simple right or wrong doesn't always encompass reality. It is okay to consume media made by people you do not always agree with politically. Politics is not the main focus in media, especially so in FNaF (hence how all of these people never knew until his information came public).

These people love to fearmonger and cause panic. "Scott donated to a lot of organizations who want me dead!" And then they never explain. Well, as a lesbian, one of the alleged groups of people he wants "dead," I say that's a load of bull. The man stated his piece on the matter very clearly. He donated to people who he thought would be good for us, left or right, he didn't care too particularly. His main concern for supporting people was who would best help all of us.

They think any Republican means homophobic, racist, sexist, you name it. They don't care about listening to you and making sure they understood your side. They see R and they see red. There is no helping these people, so do not appease them. Good for Scott for explaining his stance and not apologizing. I hope to see others follow his example. The sooner we stop appeasing a mob who wants us silenced by any means necessary, the better off we'll be.

Voting and donating republican means you are comfortable enough with homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, xenophobia, ... To have it be in office and run your life. To cishet white men, this often seems like just an opinion because they have never been negatively impacted by those republicans.

Scot has never feared getting his rights taken away because of fundamental beliefs or experiences. No one is going to beat you up over being straight, cis, or white.

No cishet white man understands the impact that republicans or right-wing conservatives have especially when put in positions of power. If the president supports homophobia then people will see that and assume that because it's the president that makes it okay.
