even though she died two years before i was born, there were always tabloids in the grocery store about JonBenét Ramsey’s death and “new breaks in the case”. i would always stare at them and wonder who the pretty blonde girl was that died. surprisingly i didn’t know anything about 9/11 until grade school.
2008 Mumbai terrorist attack. 11 p.m. Had to go school the next morning even as a carnage was going on in another city. Absolute f-cking nightmare.
Death of Kurt Cobain. I'm from the Pacific Northwest, Washington State specifically so it was really devastating for us residents to lose a local music legend. I was in class in elementary school when the news came out.
