When I think about you and me.

I still haven’t brought myself to delete our text thread,

Because it was the most honest I think you’ve ever been.

The days are few and far between,

When I think about you and me.

My heart doesn’t jump out of my chest when I see your name show on my phone,

It’s more like a reminder as to why I’m alone.

These are just thoughts at night when I want to text you but I know I shouldn’t,

Because you aren’t mine and never were, or simply wouldn’t.
