My brother was telling me about Suno, because he's very easily amused by being able to just make a song on the fly (usually a silly one). I was thinking wtf song would an AI sing about, and I ended up trying one in a synthwave style about Tron. Seemed appropriate, lol.

its official: tumblr is selling our data to Midjourney

we'd been hearing rumors about this for a bit but now its open and out there. some details from this article

it goes without saying, but if @staff goes through with this its going to be an utter shitshow and im all but certain the website will not survive it.

everyone go enable this immediately. it can be a bit hard to find because “visibility is under blog settings instead of general settings or privacy. you have to do this individually for each separate side-blog

if you can’t find it on the app then the update probably hasn’t rolled out to you, and you’ll have to go through the web browser. what a truly wild way/time to implement this

Just as a heads-up to anyone putting their Critical Role fanart on Redbubble, I noticed that anything new that I put up with "vox machina" as a tag was almost instantly flagged for review.

Curiously enough, my Mighty Nein works weren't flagged, and "critical role" was a tag in both kinds of works, so it's definitely gotta be "vox machina" that auto-flags it. My last work that was flagged looks like it was released after a day, so hopefully my 3 in review will be too, within a day, but... it's still annoying as hell.

For any interested, my shop is here, with (hopefully) a couple new designs that'll apear in a day or so.

Ok, something is definitely going on with the Critical Role brand in the background, because the one artwork I had that had "mighty nein" in the title had that phrase forcibly removed from my title and tags on that item (along with "critical role" in the tags).

So for anyone putting up anything CR on redbubble, definitely avoid putting that in your work's title to avoid them rampaging through your title/tags (for now, at least).

2 things real quick:

1. no, this isn't real

2. no, I'm not going to be making a habit of this

I've recently been dabbling with trying to understand how voice models work and how exactly better results are achieved. Not that I actually want to use AI, but my belief is it's always important to understand how new technologies work, especially if they're here to stay in some form. I was dabbling with Metahuman earlier to better understand it, and now I'm fiddling with this.

While I was learning about this, I heard the news that (once again) the KOTOR Remake is dead and it made me think about Carth (because of course it would). So I tried to see how realistic a performance I could get with him, using a little inspiration from my Carth comic from forever ago and making some dialogue for a Carth who would be insistent on finding Revan in the Outer Rim. It did take some significant tweaking and re-training, but I was a little surprised at how the results seem pretty believable, for the most part.

KOTOR 3, anyone?

...But yeah, pour one out for the KOTOR Remake. Here's hoping it gets done successfully someday.
