Merlin didn’t even stagger. When the same had happened to Arthur, he’d been forced to take steps back. Merlin’s magic was stronger. Even in winter when the whole world was asleep, his magic was still stronger than Arthur’s. With a renewed sense of confidence, Merlin held his ground.
