Okay so I work at target so I know a little abt this. (Bear in mind that I’m just a fulfillment guy tho, I have no decision-making power, and I’ve only worked two days a week bc of going to college, so there may have been more recent developments since the last time I worked that I’m unaware of.)

It wasn’t just threats—employees were attacked and in one store the pride display was actually set on fire. Headquarters had to make a decision real goddamn quick and they decided on the recall (which varies by store seemingly bc mine only pulled kids’ merch and the dollar spot stuff, but I know someone in a diff store who says her store pulled all of it). They didn’t target (no pun intended) specific designers or brands, it was a blanket recall. I don’t know what they’re planning going forward (again, I’m store-level) and I’m absolutely pissed abt it, but I understand why they made this decision even if I don’t agree with it. Yes, it’s cowardly and we’re correct to be pissed abt it, and HQ knows ppl are pissed and they’re not arguing with that—HR team leads in a lot of stores are making sure to check on and support us workers, especially us queer workers. The HR lead at my store has been making sure to tell all of us (queer and straight alike) that his door is open to anyone who wants to talk and/or vent. They’re not doing it just bc they were looking for an excuse to stop selling pride stuff. They had to do something immediately to protect store-level employees while giving themselves time to figure out what to do in the longer term. Target’s supported the queer community for at least a decade now, and they’ve been ahead of the curve in a lot of ways. I’m hoping they develop a more robust policy for protecting us and customers, like the company as a whole is real lax abt kicking ppl out when they’re being dicks and I hope they change that—this isn’t the first year we’ve had ppl complaining abt the pride merch. It is the first year people have committed arson abt it, tho.

Again, I don’t agree w this decision—it’s cowardly as fuck and it feels like conceding to these assholes who’re coming in and attacking ppl. It’s only going to embolden them, just like a bully on a playground. They’re gonna think they won. But in terms of protecting workers and customers and having stores not be on fire, it’s prob the only thing HQ could have done right away. Remember, this shit has only gotten this bad really recently—it wasn’t nearly this bad even this time last year. Until the past couple years the needle was swinging more towards acceptance, and I’m not sure anyone predicted it would get as bad as it is this quickly. Honestly I think HQ got caught w their pants down and they panicked. Hopefully they’ll get their feet under them and sort out a better response soon.

Lean your head forward, preferably to knee level, and let the water kind of drain out of your mouth. When your are able to, take deep slow breaths. No heimlich maneuver or physical assists from somebody else should be used beyond this, otherwise you could vomit and escalate the issue. Its about keeping the larynx open. Hopefully this helps.

i love this photo because at first you think that she was going to get married but instead her husband to be left her, or something like that. but actually its quite the opposite. i clicked on the source and it brought me to an article explaining the story behind this photo, and shes not crying, shes hungover. her and her husband went to a football game on their wedding day, and got extremely drunk and partied all night. they took the subway home because they couldn’t drive. so no, its not a sad heartbreaking story, its a crazy joyful one. which in my opinion makes the picture even more amazing.

took a stab at this concept. cassine knight cookie (aka princess cookie) is trying to help her liege come out of his shell,escorting him on adventures and hunts. despite her seemingly silly attitude,she’s actually very dedicated to the kingdom. prince gooseberry cookie (aka knight cookie) is very similar to canon. anxious,somewhat over protective,dedicated but this time he’s focused on his royal duties,trying his best to be a good prince. instead of it being the hollyberry kingdom,let’s say it’s the tea kingdom,and tea knight cookie is knight cookie’s uncle. the hollyberry family still exists,but they’re noble retainers,since tea knight cookie and hollyberry cookie HAVE met in the land of Beast-Yeast according to his fun facts section.

cassine cookie wears armor over her dress and gambeson,alongside some shorts and i put her little ringlets in a ponytail.

gooseberry on the other hand wears lighter armor over his gambeson,not because he doesnt need the defense,but to be more agile,referencing how fast he is in ovenbreak and his defense status in kingdom. his crown,in addition to resembling the peel on a gooseberry,also takes some visual cues from his helmet,and his icewind caveliar costume

In this au/concept the tea knight order and kingdom have felled a LOT of dragons,knight cookie being given some dragon tail’s scales to wear in his crown,as he cut off the tail,much like in canon. cassine and gooseberry are going on a quest to broker peace between the cookies and dragons.
