The vague idea behind this was that no good deed goes unpunished, and unfortunately the response to rumoured force users sometimes comes in the shape of a thermal detonator and an inquisitor backed by a purge trooper or two. But hey, Akta made it nearly a decade, so they had a good run of it.
But also brave of you to assume I actually have a hard set storyline for these guys instead of me squeezing them like stressballs to see what doodles come out :)
