I don't know

@arandomnovafangirl-blog

This blog was supposed to be a diary for ACNL, but I accidentally deleted the save. So, now, instead of just re-creating one, I post and reblog stuff.
me: [skateboards up to you]
me: hi. i can't actually skateboard in real life, but on an internet post, the only limitation is my imagination
me: [keeps skateboarding away, my body starting to transform into a hot pink fighter jet]

I made icons in response to tumblr’s censorship of the lgbt+ community because apparently our existence is “sensitive content.”

- feel free to use them for whatever you wish!

- also send an ask if you want me to make an edit with another flag in it because I’ll do it woo

I found this Youtube channel run by a Japanese chef and it’s actually better than porn? First all all his cinematography is off the charts. Youtube videos have no business looking that good. Second of all, everything he makes looks SO TASTY, and he explains the recipes in such a simple, soothing, manner. Third off all, he does this all while his two adorable kitties watch??? Like… they are so intent on what hes doing but they never run around or hop on the counter???? He has a stool for them to sit on as he makes his recipes Im gunna die

Look at this and tell me it isnt the best thing on youtube

he and his (American) wife have a youtube vlogging channel all about being an international couple and they have thREE CATS THAT HE COOKS WITH

AND ALL THE INGREDIENTS GET THE KITTY SNIFF OF APPROVAL AND YOU GUYS KOHAKU IS ONE OF THE CATS AND HE GOES EVERYWHERE WITH JUN IT’S SO CUTE

Why did Snapchat think it was a great idea to let others see where exactly you are? This could actually lead to terrible consequences. Like the National Security Agency spying on every and each of us wasn’t enough, now Snapchat allows stalkers and (potential) rapists see where you are at any moment.

For ghost mode zoom out instead of zooming in on the camera.

Reblog to save a life!

Maybe mine hasn’t updated?!?! I can’t see this!!

Duuuuude I had no idea about this until I saw this post. How creepy!!!

signal boost

Okay! I may have gone a little overboard with explanation, but I hope this helps out!! <3

So here’s a break down of how I made my Niko Cosplay!

First the hat!

I ordered a wide brim felt hat in the color I wanted off of amazon I think, and added these ears also made of stiff felt. I had to play around with the shape until it was what I wanted, and then I cut out two parts for each ear. The primary shape and then the inside of the ear so that it’s flushed against the hat! I will tell you I used lots and lots of hot glue, so be careful! And the final touch was to paint the outside of the ear to match the color of the hat!

Next the Light bulb! (Sun)

This is actually a portable solar powered porch light that I found online. All I really had to do was paint the light on the inside yellow, so it shone through a more yellow color. It is a bit small for my taste,So I might look for a replacement in the future, but its a pretty sturdy little thing for now! (I may or may not have dropped it once or twice at the last convention I was at ^^)

The Shirt/Dress!

I would say my sewing skills are so-so at best, so if you have a sewing machine and know how to pin and sew in a straight line. You’re good to go! I pretty much found an over-sized shirt from a thrift shop (Cheapest way to get cosplay clothes!) that would sit almost like a dress on me and I cut off the sleeves. My new replacement bell sleeves are actually…pant legs. Yup! Because I like to find any short cut possible, The bell sleeves are actually the legs I cut off from some big yoga pants! Sew the bottom of the pant leg to the spot where the previous sleeves were, and boom! Bell sleeves~ And then any left over material i had from the pants I used to make the pattern on the front! Hem all the rough edges, and you have yourself a Niko shirt!

The scarf

image

The scarf is simply a bunch of fleece sewn together. Its 4, 5 feet long rectangles. Sew two pairs end to end, then sew them all together and leave room at the bottoms for the tassels. Cut strips at the end and just tied the pieces together like a tie blanket would be!

The whiskers!

image

The whiskers are also make from felt! I hot glued them onto a headband so that it sits underneath the wig I have for Niko~ Notice how the felt reaches down further than the headband, I made it that way so that the whiskers sit closer to my cheek!

image

Like so!

I hope this helps you out! I’m def excited to see more Niko, and Oneshot cosplayers out there!! Best of luck!! <3

I haven’t seen this info floating around Tumblr, so I’m putting it up here.

This isnt blog related, but most of my followers are on here, and I’m sure a fair chunk of y’all would like to know this

it’s 2016, callout culture has gone on for more than long enough now, let it die, it’s time

callout for this post wtf is “callout culture”

callout culture is falling out with someone and digging through their archive to compile a list of things they said five years ago to turn total strangers against them

callout culture is reblogging a callout post for a total stranger made by a total stranger out of a misplaced sense of moral righteousness

callout culture is overusing the word ‘problematic’ to the point where saying something out of ignorance thirty years ago is placed on the same level as assaulting children

callout culture is expecting people to disclose deeply personal information pertaining to their mental health, experience of abuse and other incredibly sensitive subjects before engaging in a discussion with total strangers

callout culture is bombarding people with accusatory messages as soon as a celebrity or tv show they like fucks up, as if it was their fault or they can do anything about it and as if it’s possible for anyone or anything to be perfect enough to be deemed worthy of fandom by those standards

callout culture is refusing to give people room to fuck up and then grow and learn and to acknowledge that people and media mean a lot to people for an enormous variety of reasons and expecting people to be able to (and to want to) just cut all emotional ties they have with something or someone when they fuck up is unreasonable and unrealistic

callout culture is claiming to stand for social justice, but driving young teenagers to the point of suicide because maintaining a sense of ideological purity is seen as preferable to remembering that we all used to be ignorant on various issues and educating those who just didn’t know any better

Remember when Leelah Alcorn committed suicide and people actually started digging through her blog for ‘receipts’ and making posts like “uhm just so u know she was anti-otherkin sooooo”

that’s callout culture.

The Board Game Hannigram - Hannibal series explained as a board game - help Will Graham to play hard to get (it’s actually playable, if you just print these pages, the game is still in progress, so i’ll be updating this post, there ‘ll be  about 80 “situation cards” and other stuff)

clickbaitmullah: Muslims who were awake because they were beginning their Ramadan fast “saved people’s lives” when a deadly blaze broke out at a west London tower block, HuffPost UK has been told.
At least 50 people have been taken to five hospitals for treatment as hundreds of residents in the 27-storey, 120 flat, Grenfell Tower in north Kensington have been evacuated from their flats in the building that caught fire just after 1.15am.
A local woman told HuffPost UK: “Muslim boys saved people’s lives. They ran around knocking on people’s doors. Thank God for Ramadan”
Khalid Suleman Ahmed, 20, recently moved to Grenfell Tower with his auntie and lives on the eighth floor.
He said he would not normally have been up in the middle of the night but had stayed up during Ramadan for Suhur, the meal before Muslims begin fasting again during daylight hours.
However, upon realising there was a fire he immediately began banging on his neighbours’ doors to wake them.
He told HuffPost UK: “No fire alarms went off and there were no warning. I was playing PlayStation waiting to eat suhuur (beginning of fast meal) then smelt smoke. I got up and looked out of my window and saw the seventh floor smoking.
“I woke my auntie up, then got clothes on and started knocking on neighbours’ doors. Every house opened except two - I saw the other guy later on so only 1 family unaccounted for. My next door neighbour was fast asleep.
“The whole corridor went black with thick smoke. I didn’t think it was serious at all me and my auntie thought it was an isolated incident but we’d just evacuate just to be safe. When we went out and were taken by the firemen to a safer place then we saw that it still hadn’t reached our house - 20 minutes or so later our house was gone. The firefighters were very quick. They immediately started work.
“People were calm walking out but when they realised loved ones were missing or unaccounted then they started to panic. Once we were outside it started to spread more.
He added: “I would be up this late on a Friday night possibly but never a random midweek night unless it was Ramadan. There are a lot of Muslims living there and people choose up to stay up and wait so it was certainly a factor for me and others. It probably did save lives.”
A witness also told Sky News that Muslims who were awake had been a “lifeline”.
i can’t imagine how many lives he saved, how many families are intact and together, because of his actions.

And the Muslim community’s generosity has been unparalleled. The Al-Manaar Mosque (244 Acklam Road , London W10 5YG) is accepting donations, which it’s distributing directly to families evacuated from the building: clothes, toiletries, etc, as well as cooking free meals people evacuated from Grenfell. If you do have clothes, food, or any basic amenities you can spare, you can drop it off there, or:

  • St. Clement’s Church, 95 Sirdar Road, W11 4EQ

WHO THE HECK MADE WHEATLEY THE LIFEGUARD AT THE POOL?

(From the Steam Summer Stickers. Only Portal sticker I’ve found so far.)

Like even if he is water proof (because aperture, why not) he’s a (probably heavy and we know he’s dense) metal ball with no arms or legs and a predisposition for panicking which is the last thing you want to do when you drown.
