Also...long time no see, Tumblr! I will try to be more active and actually post art and other content.

It’s been an intense last couple of months. I’m lucky to be still going to work and being with my animal coworkers...but it’s tough with no volunteers and staff split into two shifts. I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe.

Made a pin for work! It’s our logo with its counterpart, one of our barn owls.

Next one is a porcupine and an archaeopteryx, both of which will be sold in my Etsy shop. Will update when they’re for sale! This is only my second pin, first was my Beep that you can find in my Etsy shop. I still have a lot of those left and I recently lowered the price.

They're a lot different than I remember...

Check out this Deep Look featuring Penelope! We did two days of filming with them back in February and she was a rockstar for the whole process. I became a master at carrying a porcupine with one hand going up a steep muddy hill. Lol.

...and her snot rag I used to wipe her nose for her photoshoot. Our photographer always takes a lot of extras, including this. She is such a sweet girl, I love her.

I figure I might as well post this on Tumblr, the place where Hurley's infamous "When your pigeon lays an egg in your lap" picture went viral and I made some great friends and educated a lot of people on why pigeons are incredible birds.

My beautiful Hurley left this world Tuesday afternoon and rejoined her flock. I am devastated and my heart is once again in a million pieces.

I miss my birds. I have never been without a bird at home. I'm lost.

I will see you again, my lady. You and Beep and Sinbad. We will be together again and I will not be whole until then 💔

Atsá has been training to do outreaches and today was her first outing to the location we’re doing a fundraising event at next month. She did amazing. I’m so proud of this bird, she’s come a long way since we got her and I’m excited to be doing this with her. 🦅

Finally got some pictures from our fundraising gala back in April. Me and the big girl. Just began training her to take her on outreaches, which will be a first for bald eagles at my work. Excited to see what she can do.

I took Penelope on a practice outdoor outreach (with @blue-betta, thank u) to test what her behavior would be in a new environment (since she's going to an outdoor offsite event in 2 weeks). Best part, it was my backyard! She acted like she had lived there her whole life. One of my favorite things I've had to do for work. I love my job so much ❤
