Trying to re-invent.

Ontarians! The healthcare referendum is coming up on May 26th and 27th, the one where we can vote about the privatization of our healthcare that Ford is trying to pass.

You can register to vote or find out more details via this website, you can also vote through the website itself and it only takes a minute or two of your time. I'd really rather not have our core services more gutted than they already are to create a two tier pay to get served system, so.

Voting is closed on Saturday May 27th at Midnight, if you’re an Ontario resident and you don’t want Ford privatizing our public system for a for-profit one, i encourage you all to vote

I think that people who aren't in healthcare or in jobs where they barely had to wear masks or those who had the privilege to work from home should really shut the fuck up about them tbh

Some people are tired

Some of us are so tired

I personally still wear my mask at work even tho we technically don't have to wear them in our office but have to wear them when leaving the office and traversing the unit

I don't wear them outside

I wear them in malls and stores

I don't wear them in restaurants I'm eating in

Just have some compassion

Some of us wear these things for 12+ hours a day

And we're tired 🫠

If only protein was less expensive than carbs

Carbs hate me

PSA "POC" stands for "person of colour." Or even the plural, "people of colour."

It is an acronym.

So when you say things like "POCs" or "POC people" or "POC parents" or "POC actors"

You sound whack as fuck

All you need to do is replace the "person" with whatever descriptor you're trying to use.

Actor of colour.

Parents of colour.

Lesbians of colour.

Writer of colour.

Hope that helps and you're welcome for saving you from embarrassment ♥️

Also I think I'm voiding all my info about myself in this blog because really no one needs to know anything about me online

My age, my nationality, my background... Bitches rt don't need any of it

Is it bad that posts that say "don't scroll past this" make me wanna scroll quicker

A lot of assholes respond to this by saying that it's bad to give people anything for free.

But it never even mentions that. Nothing about this post implies that it would be free. People still have to pay for their plate. They just can't get seconds until everyone has one.

cuba actually has something similar to this in the form of limiting the number of houses an individual can own to 2, and, relatedly, a home ownership rate of 90% (the usa has a home ownership rate of 65%)

and what's funny is i can already anticipate the cornballs who will moan about how "it doesn't matter if cuba has a higher home ownership rate, limiting the number of houses a person can own is tyranny!"- but inherently someone owning houses they don't live in generally depends on state violence to enforce that property claim, to arrest trespassers/squatters, or, relevant to one of the primary reasons people own houses they don't live in, to evict tenants.

so what's the real tyranny here? not being able to have a second vacation home? or cops dragging weeping families from their homes because they couldn't make rent?

13 Billion shots worldwide. Antivaxxers took their FOX/4chan red pills and lost about 80 IQ points.

This is why they're now morbidly convincing themselves that everyone who died recently, expectedly or unexpectedly, has secretly died because of the vaccine. Because they can't let go of the lie they've been pouring all of their anger and fear into for years. Not to mention, they're ignoring the fact that 'long covid' itself could easily be an underlying factor in some of these 'suspicious' deaths, given its various latent symptoms.

White people really love calling black people disagreeing with them psyops eh

"Hey jsyk intersectionality in its original context referred to black women's overlap in experiencing race, class, and gender."

"Um sounds like a psyop and you're falling for it."

And that's enough twitter for today

Whenever I think about possibly reaching out I always go "Yeah but everyone's struggling right now. Are you really gonna burden already burdened people."

It just helps to put things in perspective
