just some toxic old people having a spa day, nothing special...

it’s crazy when the protagonist and antagonist are character foils

we hate each other but you make me who i am

we are morally / philosophically / ideologically opposed but also fundamentally similar in ways that create a unique connection between us

LOL. Only 80%??

Funnier: immediately after this statement, we're told that the entire second hour of this program will be dedicated to figuring out "how this could have happened."

Yeah. NO IDEA why Ukrainians feel anything but ~Brotherly Love💕~ for Russia. None. One day they all just decided to be mean, Western-shill Russophobes. It's so baffling!

Yep. You know Ukraine: just hatin' on Russia for the fun of it. Also probably they're all Secret Nazis! Or in the CIA! Or brainwashed by Western media! Or all of the above! There's no other possible logical explanation!

russia is a terrorist state!

russians have caused another disaster. an environmental disaster. another heinous crime. the russians destroyed the hydroelectric power plant dam in Ukraine.

before destroying the dam, the russians raised the water level to a record-high 17.5 meters by keeping the gates closed. deliberately to cause as much destruction as possible. the power of the stream is incredible, the water destroys even tower cranes, it is scary to imagine what happens to people and animals.

there are already known cases of terrible deaths of animals in zoos and eco-parks, domestic animals that people didn't have time to save, animals that cannot be saved, stray animals, cats and dogs that drowned helplessly and continue to drown because people don't have time to save everyone.

someone's homes and lives destroyed, thousands of people at risk of drowning, Ukraine and Ukrainians once again suffer from russian terrorism. how can russia chair the UN Security Council? how does the world still tolerate russians and do business with russia? I'm asking you, please spread the word, don't be indifferent. we fight every day for our freedom and independence! for the freedom of the world! support us in the fight against evil. russians are murderers and terrorists. russia must be stopped!

Ukraine kinda needed that water to stay in place for standard water purposes up to and including nuclear reactor cooling.

Fuck Russia, kill Putin. Neither progress nor justice can be made while he lives.

Amazing, iconic, breathtaking, groundbreaking crimean tatar ukrainian artist Jamala has finally released the album she has been teasing for years - 15 gorgeous pieces traditional crimean tatar music accompanied by a symphonic orchestra, highlighing different milestones in Qirimlar history.

"With this album, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of showing the world that despite any attempts to rewrite the history of Crimea, we will not let the truth be forgotten."

I am going to be obsessed about this for the next few weeks, and I greatly advice everybody to give it a listen. Crimean tatar songs are hauntingly beautiful and you have no idea what kind of a huge deal this album is. Qirimlar culture has always been on the outskirts, and Jamala, being one of the biggest stars in ukrainian pop culture, releasing a whole album fully in crimean tatar, highlighting her native culture? This is a great cultural shift all by itself, and I hope that this is only the beginning.

Hi all, there is a new category on United 24 (the Ukrainain government's donation platform) for Humanitarian Demining. This is ridding freed areas of unexploded bombs, landmines, and other weaponry that can cause injury to civilians long after the fighting had moved on.

I hope this category gets lots of donations. You have only to see the impact of mines on countries like Laos (the country with the most unexploded bombs in the world, thanks to US actions during the Vietnam War) to know that decades after a war, the cleanup continues and civilians, including children, fall victim to a conflict that ended before they were born. HALO Trust, also linked here, has been working extensively on the situation in Laos and numerous other countries with unexploded bombs, and also has a Ukraine-specific fund as well as a general fund.

Let's donate to these funds and make sure Ukraine doesn't end up in that situation for years to come, but has all the resources it needs to clear the bombs and mines so displaced people can go home.

so, I’m taking singing lessons again. Not sure how long I’ll be able to afford it because realistically I can already NOT afford it but I needed to get it ot of my system. in the end I’ve found myself googling singing teachers every few months and then backing out as soon as I had to think about money. but obviously my mind can’t stop wanting it so here we are... I found a very nice teacher, had my third lesson today and we’re getting along really well. I’ll have a few lessons until June, then a large summer break and then I plan on doing it for at least half a year from September on...
