steady companionship, washing the dishes, remembering each other's favorite food, mending the little traits and habits that make us insufferable to put up with, a constant affection that is not disturbed by fantastic highs or devastating lows, patience, good humor, a shared commitment to being good to each other. a mountain of happiness built one pebble at a time, every day, for decades.

and bids for attention returned positively at least seventy percent of the time, according to the sociologists.

all of this, but with some fantastic highs, please

oh, you will have them, by all means, as well as devastating lows. whether or not the constancy of your mutual affections is disturbed by either is the question

Here is your annual reminder that if you want to read Homestuck but find it a little intimidating or are just not a big reader, Lets Read Homestuck by Team Voxus has completed all but the tail end of Homestuck.

LRHS starts out a little rough in the beginning, but the 'beginning' accounts for, like, less than four hours. Out of the total runtime of over 62 hours.

Also the voice actors are fucking tremendous and I will never stop saying that the voice actors for Karkat and Rose deserves an award for their work during Act 5.2.

Oh and if you're like me and need background noise to work, I uh I ripped all of the audio for every episode of LRHS and put it on my phone. It's organized with a audiobook app called Sirin.

Here is my GDrive folder with all the mp3s.

Sorry Rand, the rules are the rules.

And Logain looks… deeply unwell. He was more together in the cold open. But after the cave and the cage, yikes.

psych has what you guys think supernatural had. you are wrong. you’re watching the wrong show

daddy issues. weird inherited gifts from childhood that are now integral to your job. talking to the dead. the ambiguity of the real and spiritual world. homoeroticism. investigating and solving mysterious crimes using primarily the powers of observation and some printouts of early web articles. computers as big as a history textbook. the year 2007

Every time I see a duck I think to myself that I want to pick up that duck. There is a sort of quality of the duck that makes it feel like the act of picking up the duck would somehow be analogous to those strange videos where people use knives to cleanly cut through multilayered cakes. There would be a sort of accumulative act even without taking permanent possession of the duck. It would rather be more like pulling the lever on some ancient machine which makes a counter increase by one. The duck is the lever. I hope my meaning is clear to you all?

Yeah quiet quitting is great and all but have you tried chaotic working?

Like. I remember back in my grocery store cashier days I did so much crazy shit.

When WIC (Women, infants, and children voucher program to help low income mothers/families with children) people were in my line I would pretty much know who they were. Before the cards they had to tell us upfront they were WIC and show us their vouchers for what they were allowed to get (it was awful some times. Like. 2 gallons of milk. $4 worth of vegetables etc etc). They’d always have items hanging back, waiting to see what the total was and if they would have to take it off the belt.

I began to place the fruits/vegetables a certain way on the register scale so that like 1/2lbs of grapes read as like .28lbs or something. Then act shocked when I said that they still had X amount of lbs left. They got all their fruit and vegetables.

I think it started to kinda? Catch on to the women? Because I would have the same moms in my line month after month. And even after they switched to the cards (they worked like food stamp cards?) I’d still do the same thing. They were able to get more produce for whatever shitty max amount Indiana gave them.

Anyways. Be chaotic. It’s more fun that way.
