Kes was so real for this. She’s been on board for like 5 episodes and she is taking the captain aside to question her beliefs and morals. Kes doesn’t get a lot of credit or attention in the fandom but she is an ally and a friend to someone who doesn’t even believe in his own right to be treated kindly and it’s so important to me actually.
