I vote C-dilla, and the semantics are C-style but the syntax is hella wonky :3

semantics of Ç are basically C-style but the keywords and identifiers all follow Academie Française recommendations. Also, the Ç Standard is written in Academie-approved French and so is all the documentation. So it's not a "pointer" it's a "valeur indicatif d'adresse mémoire d'ordinateur". Instead of printf it's imprimer_à_la_sortie_standard_avec_mise_en_forme. "Switch statement"? Ah, you mean "construction logicielle de rendre une execution par valeur variable du selectionneur"

This is what makes learning Spanish so uncertain -- I get told some word by Duolingo, that contradicts what I learned growing up along the US-Mexico border, and neither agrees with the words my co-worker from Columbia uses

The problem with AI isn’t that it exists as one more tool in the box for creators to use, or as a way to automate data processing. The problem is that it’s immediately being used to undercut actual workers and creators, threaten if not eliminate their jobs, and all while building this disorienting mirror universe of mediocrity where the shit people get AI to generate doesn’t even make sense.

Something I love about Tumblr that you don’t really get on Reddit, is the brief flashes of fandoms I’m entirely unfamiliar with, like some large beast in the undergrowth.
