Hey guys, sorry for not posting very much recently. Life has been a bit distressing and busy for me lately.

I wanted to share with you this very special short movie! It’s called ‘Legend of the First Kuker Warrior’ and it is a movie that I, along with many other very talented and great people, have worked on this year. It’s a short film from the Golden Apple universe and it’s kinda like a prequel to the series.  This is the most exciting project I have ever been a part of, really.

My role here was assistant character designer. I created the designs of and drew all of the samodivas’ (the water nymphs) and the creatures, except for Chuma. I also helped with the colour script which was a ton of fun and also taught me so much! I actually drew a lot more samodivas but eventually not all of them made it to the final movie.  This film was a great journey for me and I felt so close to the characters I was creating. I remember hearing the samodivas’ song for the first time. I had spent weeks designing them beforehand, giving them personality and life, and then all of a sudden they had voices and sang. They felt so real, it brought little tiny tears to my eyes! (but shht!)
