can you write something where stiles and the sheriff switch bodies and the sheriff finds out that stiles and derek are together (in a wacky hilarious way of course) and hes upset that stiles didnt trust him with that but he trusted him with WEREWOLVES.

John wakes in increments, comfortably, slowly. He’s warmer than usual, and his legs are tangled in the sheets. Normally, he sleeps rigidly, keeps to one side of the bed, but this morning it feels like he’s sprawled across the mattress. It also feels strangely like there’s somebody behind him, their breathing soft and even, brushing against the back of his neck. He must be imagining things.

There’s a muted yawn, a hand searching blindly across John’s stomach, someone speaks in a low, sleep ragged voice, “Mornin’.”

That’s a voice he knows. This is not John’s bed.

“What in the hell?!” He leaps up, practically punching Derek Hale in the face as he does so, and stares down at a suddenly very awake, mortified looking werewolf.

He was in bed with a werewolf.

A werewolf his son is prone to wax lyrical about in their kitchen when he thinks he’s complaining about Derek being a bossy, sarcastic ass— sorry, dad— and it all comes out far more fond than he means it to.

Derek blinks back at him, confused, “Are you— do you regret— Stiles?”

John looks down at himself and does a double take. His legs are long and sprightly looking. He’s wearing boxers with pink and yellow hearts on. There’s a purple bruise on his hipbone that’s shaped just like—

“Oh, good god, you’re sleeping with my son?!”

Hi hi! I’m SO excited you’re taking prompts! You’re on my favorite sterek authors!! Prompt: Stiles is a few months pregnant with their second child and Eli, he’s maybe 4 or 5, is making his day very difficult and it all boils to a point where Eli tells Stiles that he hates him. Stiles takes it to heart and doesn’t know what to do with himself while Derek tries to reason with him “Stiles, he’s 5 years old, of course he doesn’t hate you”

sorry for making you wait 84 years, anon

Eli was a smart boy.

Of course, he was, with Stiles’ brain and werewolf superior genes his and Derek’s child couldn’t be anything but amazing. He was four and a half but could already read his favorite tale — a werewolf-friendly retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood. There was a brief period when all he would read was this tale, and no amount of Stiles’ whining could sway him.

The stubbornness came from Derek, for sure.

And lately, something changed in Eli’s attitude. It was gradual and not something Stiles noticed at first. Eli was healthy and bubbly and happy most of the time, a perfect overly energetic and curious child, but sometimes he just gave Stiles this studying, almost suspicious, long stare and pursed his little button nose, as if thinking very hard about something.

Today was one of those days.

i didn’t think there was anyone else who believed in the yes stiles is a bamf but derek is a big overprotective wolf man that treats him right so sure it does somewhat across as stiles being weak even though that’s not true agenda. the moment i saw that derek calls him kitten my life exploded into rainbows

love when stiles can fight out of situations but sometimes you need a lil kidnapped stiles derek tearing the world apart and then tearing his captors apart into little chunks of flesh moment

Stiles is strong in his mind and in his heart, his loyalty and determination is legendary, and he is so smart, but when it comes to his love life he becomes completely oblivious. And despite his strength, he is still a breakable lil human, he would never compare to the absolute hunk of a big werewolf Derek Hale. Cause I like my Derek big, hairy and so confident; he catches Stiles' chin and forces him to look up and meet his gaze, and Stiles melts like an ice cream from his smirk.

Stiles allows himself to be weak with Derek, and that's the beautiful thing. He knows Derek will never judge him and be his anchor through it all. It takes a particular kind of trust to be this vulnerable in front of another person - Derek and Stiles have exactly that. Stiles may not be strong sometimes, but their relationship is.

This. I love this. Specially love when Derek can prove himself capable to protect and provide. The show make him so dirty, loosing so many fights that should have win. So every bamf Derek headcanon is perfect to me. I'm weak for and big and confident Derek❤️‍🔥. We have cocky Derek in season one and two, knowing that his looks and his strength was enough to get what he wants. But he also gives the vibe of someone who do everything for his love ones. If he has to, he would tear the world apart.

Also, Stiles allowing himself to be weak. That just hits right. The blind trust that Derek would handle the situation or that that has his back and will protect him. Perfection.

And big yes to the "kitten" pet name. When I read it, my heart exploded. "Little red" always was my favorite but I'm loving so hard Kitten too.

Derek 1: I’m the real Derek, that ones lying!

Derek 2: Don’t listen to him, Stiles. I’m the real Derek!

Stiles: There’s only one way to solve this.

Stiles: You’re both going to have to Eiffel Tower me and then swap sides halfway through so I can tell who fucks like the real Derek.

Both Dereks: You can’t be serious.

Stiles: (Already taking shirt off)

Stiles: This is the only way.

I love your God Derek fic with his big balls. And I don't think there's enough fics with the tag "Derek has a big dick" . So, the prompt could be Stiles buying a famous dildo bc his girth and size. And maybe could have a knot too. And it's best dildo he ever had. Until he finds out that dildo was molde from a real dick. He wants to find who. He never expected that dildo that mak him moan like a bitch in heat and cum so many times was based from certain grumpy werewolf who works at the police station with his dad.

I hope you enjoy how I wrote this!

Stiles needs some extra cash while going for his masters, so he signed up for a Babysitter Service.

He's had a few jobs here and there but no permanent positions until Eli. Eli Hale had a habit of making babysitters quit after the first week, something about his werewolf tantrums.

But not Stiles. Werewolves or humans, he's an excellent babysitter.

Eli's father, Derek, is illusive and Stiles has yet to officially meet him but he always pays on time with bonus tips. One night, during an especially bad temper tantrum, Stiles finally meets him.

And boy, Alphas are built different.

Uninteresting

So, yesterday, I encountered a story (at that point it was untagged, and to give the author their due, they tagged it afterwards), and the thing that jumped off the page to me is that they have Scott purposefully luring the Argents to the police station in Fury (2x10). This was a new one on me, so I wondered if the author had just missed the part where Matt had taken Scott's (and the sheriff's and Stiles's) phone and that Allison had correctly identified that Scott wouldn't have done that. I pointed this out.

The author replied that they were tweaking canon because they thought it would be interesting to see Stiles and Scott have a 'discussion' about it.

What they also thought would be interesting would be repeating every big idea that the Anti-Scott parts of fandom have ever had. Scott told Derek his family deserved to be burned alive! (He didn't say that). Scott didn't ask Stiles about his injuries in Master Plan! Scott was obsessed with Allison! Scott neglected Stiles for Isaac!

Such a variation on Teen Wolf might actually be interesting to me as an alternative, too, if I hadn't read it 15,000 times before (not an exaggeration). One of fanfiction's purposes is to give us alternatives to canon, but the trouble is when it comes to Teen Wolf, it's always the same alternatives. I pointed out that as a Scott fan who reads Sterek, it bothers me that they always try to justify the relationship by making Scott the bad guy.

They replied that they tweak canon in a lot of ways, not just to make Scott a bad guy. And they're right. Beyond that ...

  • They tweaked canon to make Deaton an Evil Sinister Black Man! So unique! He is plotting against Derek with Scott because he thinks Derek should die and Scott should be alpha. Unspoken is why he didn't straight up murder Derek after Peter's resurrection or still supply him with ketamine for the plan to stop Jackson, but if Evil Deaton had been competent, there wouldn't be much of a story would there?
  • They tweaked canon to make Stiles -- you guessed it -- a Spark! Ground-breaking, like florals in spring! And Deaton was lying to Stiles about the strength of it because Stiles is going to become Derek's Emissary! Because of course he would!
  • They tweaked canon so Derek is super angry about Scott's remark about the Argents having a reason to attack his family in Magic Bullet (1x04), but doesn't even remember that Stiles directly accused him of murdering his sister out of jealousy of the full wolf form in Second Chance at First Line (1x02).
  • They tweaked canon so Derek can't trust Deaton because the veterinarian is plotting against him for some unknown reason, and it's definitely not because Derek kidnapped and almost killed him in Heart Monitor (1x06).
  • They tweaked canon so that Stiles obviously did care after Scott was poisoned with wolf's bane by Victoria, even though we didn't see any of that on the screen but assumed that it happened, just like we should have assumed Scott asked Stiles about what happened in the Argent basement.
  • They tweaked canon so that Stiles never wanted Derek dead and that he can't believe Scott would be so, so cruel to widdle-baby Derek, who didn't lie to Scott about the cure or break into his house and threaten to kill him or did nothing at all ever to earn Scott's distrust.

I could go on. In other words, to them it's interesting to rehash every single Sterek Trope that has been written in meta and stories so often that it's become accepted reality. They "tweak" canon in only certain pre-set ways and always to the same ends. Because I do believe in alternative stories, I would accept this if, for every Sterek story where Scott is a Bad Lying Friend and Unworthy of Stiles's regard, so he turns to Derek, there's a Sterek story with different "tweaks," such as where Isaac tries to kill Stiles to get Scott to join the pack or Scott rejects Stiles because he's too mean to Derek which makes Stiles see the error of his ways. But there isn't. And that, of course, is my point.

It's the Big Lie. Everyone complains about discourse and why people would waste time arguing over trivial matters such as these, but ten years have passed and now I encounter multiple people entering the fandom who literally believe that Scott was OBSESSED over Allison, that he didn't put her to the side to save Derek and/or his pack on multiple occasions and that she was his necessary anchor. Who believe that Stiles was neglected and treated badly, not by the guy who bounced his head off a steering wheel or tried to kill the girl he loved or sent one of his betas to kidnap him, but by his best friend who literally ripped a locker door of his hinges in an attempt to find him. Sterek has become synonymous with Scott is a Bad Friend, and I dare people to argue that it hasn't.

And thus, a non-white heroic protagonist has been transformed, probably forever, into an unworthy inadequate simpleton who treated his mega-genius best friend and a (phenomenally rich, good-looking, and well-loved) orphan werewolf so badly. It's happened. Right in front of the fandom's eyes. And lots of people are happy about it for some reason.

BUT IT'S NOT RACISM.

Friend,

You are being incredibly, incredibly rude over something that doesn't require nearly this much energy.

A couple of notes for you, since you seem fond of saying some of the most harsh and wild things I have ever read about a person who is taking time out of her day to share, in good faith, something she's spent months on.

I am going to try to address you with the grace you lacked for this author.

  1. She has posted exactly 3 chapters of 10. Please don't assume to know the entire story based off of three chapters.
  2. One piece of the magic of fanfiction is not that every situation is brand new, it's that the characters are experiencing these situations. I, for one, love reading the same stories over and over.
  3. Nothing on this planet is new. There is not a new thought among billions. Please don't act like fanfiction writers need to reinvent the wheel.
  4. They Don't. And if you write fanfiction, you don't need some brand new idea never done before. You just need to love what you are writing.
  5. This is a canon divergent story. It is not an AU, not canon-compliant. Canon divergent means that the story will not follow canon exactly. Canon Divergent means they are going to take the pieces they like/need and change the rest.
  6. Please. Please. For the love of God. Do Not Tell Me you've made the argument that all black people have to be good, in order for fanfic not to be racist.
  7. Let me ask you, are you speaking for black and brown people or are you upholding their voices?
  8. Please go back to your black or brown friends and double check on your logic here. If you do not have black or brown friends, I am more than willing to have this conversation with you.
  9. I find it incredibly disrespectful and offensive to suggest that Deaton cannot be a villian because he is black. And then weaponize that against person.
  10. You know nothing else about the story other than the first three chapters, and still you think you are entitled to make that kind of judgement. You are not, my friend.
  11. Your arguments are in bad faith and completely unacceptable. It leads me to believe that it is not about this fanfic or the writer, but something else. Please sort whatever issues you have (be it with fanfic, fandom, or life in general) before you attack a person who does not deserve it.
  12. I know that it is tempting to paint every person with the same brush, but it's not cool to typecast this author, just as much as it is not cool to shove Scott into a box. Just as not cool it would be for me to generalize you.

I know you are angry/frustrated/mad/sad/whatever, but try to have some grace for and listen to other people.

I've heard these arguments before. They are not persuasive to me. But I'll address some of your points out of courtesy.

I do have to suggest that no one would have known which story I was talking about with your commentary. I used the occasion of reading this particular story to use it as an example of general negative fandom trends. But that's fine.

  1. Yes, I know that only three chapters have been published, but I've seen enough to get the general gist of where the story is going. As you say, I, too, have read the same stories over and over, enough that I can spot a pattern. In this case, it is a very popular pattern to turn Scott and Deaton into bad guys so Stiles has no other choice but to join up with Derek, the man who didn't care that he got kidnapped at all and willingly works with the man who tried to arrange Stiles's death.
  2. People don't have to reinvent the wheel every story, but they are responsible for which tools they employ and how they employ them. The old saying is, if you use crooked lumber, you build a crooked house. If you use tropes tainted by fandom racism ... well you get the idea.
  3. Yes, I understand it is a canon-divergent AU. It's just a bad one. I found four important inconsistencies in the first chapter, and not little ones either. And I've talked about several of them. When people publish poor quality stories -- and yes, posting them on AO3 is publishing them -- I get to talk about it, just like you get to talk about what you believe is my bad take on the story.
  4. No, I've never made the argument that Deaton can't be a villain. In fact, I would love to see a Villain Deaton story that actually moved past the standard shallow Sterek-fandom approach of "Deaton doesn't give Derek, the man who kidnapped him and tried to murder him, 100% of his devotion, and that he chooses to help Scott, the teenage boy has who endured a lot of trauma and has worked for him and in which he sees potential, rather than turn Stiles into an archmage and thus must be sinister." I'm tired of non-white characters being scorned for having their own agendas, rendered incompetent and ineffectual adversaries, and then waiting patiently for the white characters to show them the error of their ways or execute them, whichever is easier.
  5. I belong to a community with many black and brown voices, and I listen to their stories, about how they find fandoms inhospitable, and especially this fandom, because this story dared to have a character of color as the lead protagonist, dared to have another character of color mentor the hero of color as the lead protagonist, only for the fandom to spend 95% of its effort correcting that insult. So, I don't consider myself speaking for black and brown voices -- that would be arrogant and wrong -- I consider myself speaking with black and brown voices, which is the least I can do.
  6. It is not just tempting to paint everyone with the same brush; it's necessary. If this story possesses the same characteristics as the myriad stories tainted by fandom racism, it's important not to carve an exception when there isn't any. There's a reason there are nearly 2000 Bad Friend Scott stories on AO3 and only 15 Bad Friend Stiles stories. There's a reason that there was only 339 stories focused exclusively on the primary romantic relationship on the show and only 103 stories focused exclusively on the primary homosexual romantic relationship on the show (which happens to contain a character of color) and 48,262 stories focused exclusively on a pairing of two white men whose interactions consisted mostly of insults, violence and death.

But you know what? There is a possibility, no matter how remote I think it is, that I am wrong about this particular story among the tens of thousands of which I am not wrong about, so I will tell you what I am going to do. I will read every single chapter, and when I am done, I will write a thorough review of it and post it here. Then you can come and you can comment on it as you did my original post. Sound fair?

A naturally grown brown person here. *waves*

I have long awaited my white and shining armor. Alas, you grace us with your presence. It fills me with such joy to finally meet you. I have been reading fanfiction for years and it’s so refreshing to meet a fellow Teen-Wolfer who states their thoughts that are so unique and so valuable to the community….

I truly hope you heard my sarcasm.

I am beyond tired of you white people coming along and trying to “Save the day” by attacking fandom creators who write the stories they like or make the art they love that just don’t fit within the narrative that YOU believe it should be.

I see you are a white cis male. I don’t know if you’re trying to be an ally (because I can tell you, you are not) but this is not the way. The story question is ( I agree ) a “Bad Friend Scott” trope. It’s a trope. I’ve seen many, yes. I have also seen many “Blame Derek for Everything” trope stories and “Stiles is a sidekick” trope stories. I can list so many tropes that shine (my favorite) characters in a bad light. (I have a long list of fav characters by the way) and I never decided to sit down and bash that person, leave rude comments, or try to make it seem that my word is the only one that counts.

I personally do not like Scott as a character. With the movie I don’t want to read about him and I love “Bad Friend Scott” trope and “Evil Deaton” trope. But I also (and i will come back to loving it again) loved reading “Himbo Scott” “Good Friend Scott” tropes as well. But I still respect people (friends) that love Scott. I have someone who legit only writes good friend Scott and she knows I don’t like him but you know what happens? We respect each other and we understand it’s our own personal preference.

I mentioned your race and gender for a reason. Because it is the white man’s prerogative to make everything he says LAW. Whatever he says is correct and should be taken as fact. Not liking characters is not a race issue. It’s a personal preference. And I am so tired of seeing these posts about people being racist because they don’t like Scott McCall. Brown and Black people have enough to deal with ACTUAL racism for you to use the term to try to seem like “you did something big”. You haven’t.

If you want to make a post and cry about someone not liking your character fine. If you disagree with people, fine. I get being petty, I too am Petty. (With a capital 'P', you saw *wink*)

But say what you want to say and leave race (my race) out of it.

That will be all.

Antis being crying babies.

But thanks @sterekyrround for saying what we all think.

Antis should apply this:

If you don't like, don't read and leave it.

Simple an easy.

AND REMEMBER, EVERYTHING IS FICTIONAL. IS JUST A FIC.

You're not saving life being a dick for a fic that's not who you want.

The idea of like a Derek Hale looking at my huge ass and hips, my fat belly and tits, and palpably thirsting for breeding me is so fulfilling. That he would be horny for someone he knows would carry his pups well and want so badly to make my stomach and tits even plumper. /// Dudeee same, really big same. He needs a big family and would gladly let him knock me up every year, to be full of his pups.

Avatar

I have never been on the side of fandom that does character x reader content or made self insert characters (not that I think those are bad, they're just not for me) but man there's just something about sometimes really feeling yourself and imagining the kind of man you're really into being into you in turn.

And I really do have some characters that I would characterize as chubby chasers. Not to immediately get away from the actual mpreg topic and Derek Hale, and not to imply that idea in the demeaning way. But like, you simply cannot convince me that Dean Winchester does not have a fetish for fat people. It just 1000% rings true to me for this character that, even jokingly, has such an emotional connection with food and has such a traumatized childhood that he idolizes? He reads to me very much as an ex fat kid that now has not necessarily and ED, but a complicated relationship with food. And I think he would get so fucking horny for chubby and fat people and really kind of put them to the pedestal as people he envies. He would love to get to bring food play into bed and to get to body worship stretch marked bellies and dimply thighs and ass cracks so deep they have discoloration. And he'd get so mortified, but so interested in maybe engaging in a little feederism from any angle, but especially where he gets to be fed.

But that's a whole other topic y'all can feel free to ask me about if you want, I just don't want to steal this one away from what it was intended to be.

There's just something that's so... wholesome yet horny about the idea of Derek craving having a big family back so much that he just fucking breeds like a rabbit. Any and every chance he has to knock someone up and he does. Loves having little Hales running around everywhere and doesn't care if they're all by different parents. Just a real sow your wild oats kind of guy that gets both really emotionally filled, but also excessively, perversely turned on by the idea of breeding and pregnancy sex. I 1000% see him as the type to be getting stiffies from pregnant people in public and having no qualms about the ethics of seducing and fucking them.

But why would he have to do that when he could probably just have a harem of boys ready to take him at any moment? And I would be right there, losing my shit over every time he gropes me and tells me in a low voice how much he loves my big body and the pups inside of me.

STEREK HITS 70K ON AO3!

We are on the eve of that awful Teen Wolf Movie & Sterek has just hit a landmark of 70,000+ fanworks uploaded to archive of our own.

Keep in mind, Sterek has been "canonically" done since 2014 because that's when Hoechlin left the show. We didn't receive any other canon Sterek material until the series finale in 2017.

It's now 2023. A Sterek-less movie is about to drop and yet the Sterek Fandom is still just as energized and enthusiastic about this ship as we've been since day one!

Sterek is eternal, guys.

Tyler P. says TW has a lot of LGBT storylines. What storylines? They killed off a lesbian and turned her girlfriend bi to avoid giving us bi Stiles. They had Ethan and Danny, but Ethan left town and Danny just up and disappeared. And sure there was Mason and Corey, but they weren't even main characters on the show.

All the queer storylines in the show had to do with queer characters getting killed, disappearing, or going to gaybars. So brave! So revolutionary!
