Any of you fellow Dracula fans also filmmakers like me?

I'm gearing up to write & direct a Dracula movie - and I can't be the only one on set who is "Totally Normal" about JonMina.

If any of you Dracula fans are filmmakers - or know people who'd love to help - hopefully we can make a Dracula movie together that finally does the book & fandom justice!

I've seen a few posts about the golden mediasch wine that Jonathan tries and the "queer sting on the tongue" it produces, and anyway I ended up doing some bare minimum research on the wine in case anyone else is interested:

It's a white wine from the wine-making town of Medias. There's actually a reference to it in an 1878 travelogue called Round About the Carpathians by Andrew F. Crosse. Crosse says that golden mediasch is "one of the best wines" from Transylvania and that it "produces an agreeable pricking on the tongue". I've never tried it so I can't say what it's actually like but fact and fiction seem to align at least

Tbh I'll never get over how much niche research Stoker did to create Dracula and I think it's the references to things like certain wines that really make the book

I did not remember Jonathan overhears the townsfolk call Dracula "werewolf" and "vampire" before he leaves for the castle. That just makes everything that's about to come scarier, cause I feel like he would have that on the back of his mind the entire time weird shit happened.

Jonathan, before the coach ride: huh, I wonder why they keep saying "werewolf"

Jonathan, stranded in the Romanian wilderness at midnight, surrounded by wolves, until the coachman commands the wolves and they listen: oh shit Oh shit oh shit OH SHI--

We've got a deep love for this novel (and other horror media!), and had the best time bringing it to life as an audio drama.
