“Boys be careful,” you shout as you look out the corner of your eye to see Talun and Älek roughhousing, not wanting them to hurt themselves. You check where Nìran, your youngest, was and when you found him, he was sitting to the side watching his brothers as he had his thumb in his mouth and playing with his toruk toy in his other hand. 

“Syulang, leave them be, they’re txur,” Neteyam spoke as he cuts up some yovo fruit for today’s dinner, you take your eyes off the pot to shoot him a glare and he only laughs. You roll your eyes at him and put your attention back on the pot. Neteyam takes a piece of the yovo fruit and walks over to Nìran and hands him the fruit he takes his thumb out of his mouth, takes the fruit from Neteyam, and lets out a soft thank you. “You’re welcome, buddy,” Neteyam smiles as he rubs Nìran’s head as he eats the fruit slowly and you smile at the interaction. “I have been thinking lately,” Neteyam says as he walks back over to your side.
