What is Nu, Pogodi?

Nu, Pogodi! Is a Soviet Russian cartoon, originally running from ‘69 to ‘91, with a relatively small number of episodes produced in that time. In short, Nu, Pogodi! Is basically a Soviet version of Tom & Jerry, a classic slapstick chase cartoon. However, Nu, Pogodi! Stands out with fantastic animation, lovely retro aesthetics, and a poppin soundtrack! Not to mention Wolf the literal Fashion Icon  ™ and his high fashion looks.

The cartoon is in Russian, but dialogue is minimal and everything that’s happening is easily understandable even if you don’t speak a word of the language!  You can watch the entire thing here:

here’s the piece i did for @presmiczine!! I hadn’t done a full illustration in what must be yeeeears before this, so it was a daunting task but in the end i’m pretty happy with the result!!

had this idea of doing like, a series with tres horny boys running like this, and then different antagonists chasing them so it can be sort of like a mix and match thing, but ended up only finishing kravitz and then i sorta got bored. this would be a cool ass sticker set!!!

i was just thinking abt how mic’s hero costume must be really uncomfortable in hot weather, but then i realized, the summer version would literally just be the same thing, but with shorts. and so all this happened.
