Speaking of DT17 designs, do you feel as if there were some redesigns/reimaginings that were unnecessary? For example, I do like what they did with Gosylan's design in the reboot but not so much her personality!

Other than Bushboy, I've only ever had tiny nitpicks about designs.

Gladstone being the biggest example. I love everything about his design except for his HAIR. I love what modmad ended up doing with the design so on the off-chance I do draw him, I draw him like that. (it's criminal that I don't draw him as often as I would like)

On the topic of Gos, I just wish they had kept her pigtails.

In terms of writing, I hardly disagreed with a personality/development choice, really. Though, I guess I wish they had done more for/with Magica though. She was a great first threat but then that threat was reduced to null.

Also as much as I like the DT 17 designs, they did Bushroot so dirty. I know the reasoning as to why he looks the way he does but I wished they kept him as the funny, lil' plant-man-thing that he was :(

I AGREE so hard, Anon!!!!! On one hand, I do like the design they gave him. I know why they did it. On the other, the POTENTIAL WAS SO LOST. I think right before the episode came out, I explored a design that was sort of a mix between mine and the one the DT17 crew came up with. He was meant to be un-zombified/rejuvenated by water. Because a lot of people in a server I was in at the time were talking about the idea and I found it very cute.

But I didn't really enjoy drawing him that way so I scrapped it as soon as I drew it and then I got to work on the screenshot redraw instead.

Sometimes I look back at Bushroot before he turned into a plant mutation and he actually looks better as a little flower man. He had the entirety of St. Canard trembling in their lil' booties cause he slayed that look so hard ngl

You are 1000000% correct, Anon!! He's way more good looking as a mutant. Look at him he's just a little plant fella. He's just so cute.

I've been meaning to take a stab at redesigning ol' Dr. Bushroot pre-mutation but it's hard. Mostly because, if I'm being brutally honest, I don't care for him because at that point he hadn't met Liquidator. LMAO ("but you could make an AU-" not interested.)

My capacity to care about these things will probably change somewhere down the line but this is just where I've ended up at the current moment.
