I've said this before and I'll say it again: I have depression and chronic pain. If my house catches fire when I am having a depressive episode, I can still get out of bed and run. If my house catches fire when I'm having a flare up, I might not be able to support myself and make it to the door.
THAT is the difference disabled people are talking about when we say able bodied people have privilege over us. No, it's not "easy" to get out of bed when you're depressed, but your life isn't in active danger if you can't. I don't see why that's such a hard thing for people to understand, and I'm really sorry you get so many people in your inbox acting like they're the same thing. Like, it's okay for there to be a difference between "difficult" and "life threatening"!

Another comparison that I like to make as well is my Deafness means I will never get advanced warning of a fire happening my house and combining that with my having mobility issues, there's a very real chance I will die in a fire and almost did earlier this year! My mental health would not do that
