Anyone who looks past the header of my blog knows what my current hyperfixation is haha….

I stayed up all night 8 months ago reading @bamsara’s amazing Solar Lunacy (seriously, go give it a read, it will permanently alter your brain chemistry) and that was pretty much the end for me LOLLL. Hyperfixation reached critical mass about a month ago and I had to make SOMETHING. Hence, Sun/Moon bag. Complete with REALLY cute pins from SpaceJacket on Etsy and amazing keychains from @vurelly!

i have no idea if this will help with your situation, but erin reed has a map with all informed consent clinics- this may be completely unhelpful but i know these clinics make it easier to access hrt with less barriers.

so I made the original post as a joke, but then I saw this and found an informed consent provider in my area and I’m gonna make an appointment. genuinely thank you, this reblog could make my healthcare journey so much easier. hope this helps someone else too <3

Your impact on other people is bigger than you think. Someone still giggles when they think of that funny thing you said. Someone still smiles when they think of the compliment you gave them. Someone silently admires you. The advice you give has made a difference for people. The support and love you’ve offered others has made someone’s day. Your input and opinions have made someone think twice. You’re not insignificant and forgotten. Your existence makes a positive difference, whether you see it or not.

I know it's silly, I mean I'm just the cashier at Michael's on occasion that says nice things. I make it an actual point that if I notice something I like about a customer's attire or something they're carrying or their amazing piece of tattoo artwork that I say something. Most of these interactions occur in less than a five minute time span (note according to the register time sheet I currently have the fastest transaction time rofl and I'm damn proud of it🤣)

But like? I dondo it to be remembered or praised. I do it because I absolutely adore seeing people smile. Because I have no clue what's going on in your life but honey you are rocking that newly dyed purple hair and I just HAVE to say that I adore it. And that old worn shirt with the sick paisley pattern you've had since 895 bc? Yes honey it looks fabulous on you and gdi I'm saying something!

Some of those customers I'll never see again, and that's okay. Call it selfish or weird but it makes me happy to see you smile. It makes me happy to briefly ask about that new past time you picked up because you just so happened to watch a tiktock the other day. It brings me joy to share the knowledge I've aquired over the last however many years of crafting so that when you tackle that new baby blanket for your coworker at least you'll go into it with a little bit of confidence because the nice cashier at Michael's said she believed in you.

That's why I love my job. I adore it despite the shady corporate bullshit. I get to make people happy and smile and be confident in a field I am so absolutely passionate about that I spent my whole life inundating my entire being with arts and crafts.

They may never remember me, and that's okay. But I am content and that is enough for me.

Not knowing that you have a villain inside you, a hero, and a bystander is a lesson that everyone should learn.
