this is the funniest ad ive ever seen. the mobile app company was like huh ppl really hate the ads we run of someone doing the worst possible job at our game so what if we just sort of added a representation of their hatred into our ad. and didn’t change anything else. peace and love please play our shitty game

hey. don’t say that <3

HEY <3 DONT SAY THAT <333

Everyone else talked about outdoor cats, it's time for me to talk about offleash dogs

Reasons not to have your dog offleash at a public park:

1) roads (this one is self-explanatory)

2) it makes the park inaccessible to like, entire swathes of the population. If you have experience with police dogs or guard dogs in your neighborhood, or you're a new immigrant from somewhere with a large population of feral dogs, it sucks ass going to the park and having someone's massive lab bound up to you!

3) If, for example, you are in a protected wetland area plastered with friendly signs asking you to please leash your dog to avoid causing an ecological impact, having your dog offleash might cause an ecological impact! "Oh no, my dog is well-behaved, they would never bother the wildlife" wrong! your dog is in the pond trying to eat the endangered Blandings' turtles!

4) Non-zero chance of a jokerified park guide (me) just clipping your dog to a leash and stealing them

5) “Oh but my dog is friendly!” If your unleashed “friendly” dog runs up to my leashed UNFRIENDLY dog, and my dog bites yours, guess who’s getting the blame despite doing everything right?

people really do equate morality to hair huh. ppl see a boy balding and say thats actually a sleazebag and creep who doesnt know personal hygiene. ppl see a man wearing a toupee or combing over his hair and make fun of him for trying to hide his true colors of being secretly an ugly balding person. ppl see a shitty person who happens to be bald or balding and say their disgusting ugly offensive hair is their divine punishment for their actions/personality. ppl see a girl whos bald, balding, or just has short hair and pity her and mourn her perceived loss of feminine beauty. ppl see a women with thin hair or receding hairline and harass her enough to make her start wearing wigs and hats or even undergo cosmetic procedures to fix herself out of fear of further harassment. can people stop being so fucking weird about the perceived morality of hair loss that literally almost everyone and their mother has. hair loss is not a bug its a goddamn feature

I recently worked a kids camp for kids with alopecia areata. Alopecia is the general term for hair loss which includes things like traction alopecia (which is what often happens when you get your hair put in braids that it is not meant for- traction because it is being pulled in order to be put in the braids, but if it doesn't have the right curl structure, instead of springing out it just gets pulled out of your head), androgen alopecia (in the past referred to as "male pattern baldness" but this is incorrect because it is due to hormones regardless of gender or sex assigned at birth and is why older cis, perisex women start to lose their hair after menopause- because they are no longer making the same amounts of estrogen and progesterone and are now making more testosterone by comparison (yes, cis perisex women make testosterone)).

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the hair follicles. It can cause bald patches, total baldness on the head (alopecia totalis), the eyebrows and eyelashes to fall out, or complete lack of body hair anywhere on the body (alopecia universalis).

When we did orientation before we even saw the kids, we met with people from the Alopecia Areata Foundation and they talked about what it was like for them to grow up with alopecia. Hair is an extremely important identity and cultural signifier and it's very isolating when some of all of your hair is falling out. This camp was one of the few places where these kids were able to be around other people like them, where they felt safe taking off their hats and scarves and wigs.

Because the world treats people who are losing their hair like shit.

Starting from a very young age, children who have no concept that there is something different about them are singled about by their peers and adults alike and either harassed, bullied, or shunned. As they grow and are able to conceptualize themselves they can see that they look different from other people and that the people in media that look like them are all similar- they're villains, they're untrustworthy, they're sleazebags, they're creeps, they're perverts. The only other bald representation in media is that of the cancer patient (who often have to deal with those same stereotypes!)

Just once I want there to be one of those big narrative epic games-as-film type video games that forces you to be a faggot. Not "there's a male romance option" no "optional romances" at all not only is the MC gay, he is having 20 minutes of unskippable gay kissing spread across 80 hours of cutscenes and it is integral to the story and if you skip past the gay kissing you will miss vital plot beats. For the next 400 hours of gameplay you are a homosexual and you are going to LIKE it.

being in your early 20s is crazy bc there’s people who are literally married and people who’ve never even dated and people who are trapped in their childhood bedrooms waiting to get out and people who are trying to live out romanticized dream lives and people who are completely on their own and people with multi tiered support systems and we’re all supposedly peers and none of us think we’re doing it right at all
