This post took so long geez. I’ve recently found a pinterest board with the background images from the game Choices: Stories you play which I used to play a lot before it derailed from the type of content I’m interested in but I’ve always liked the art and the landscapes / locations, so I decided to make this scenario post based on some of the images I found. William has two because I’m a simp and I couldn’t decide for one of them (cries). I’ve put in a selection of random characters, including William, Mereoleona, Yami, Nacht, Magna, Julius, Marx, Alecdora and Patri. Hope you enjoy, reblog and comment if you liked it!

• Never underestimate the effort William Vangeance is willing to make to show you just how much he appreciates having you in his life. 
• He has pondered for a while on where to take you out to; he’s still feeling very guilty for the whole elf thing after all
• William hasn’t been doing very well lately, his lack of sleep and his doubts were even visible to his squad members from the obvious bags under his eyes. He had been busy picking up the pieces of the fights against the reincarnated elves, Patri’s absence was hard to get used to, his insecurities were gnawing at the back of his mind and so were the doubt and guilt he felt in relation to Julius and his squad. He felt like he had to make it up to you too and he needed a timeout himself
• So he decided to take you to a clock tower overlooking the Royal Capital; a place Julius had shown him a couple of years ago
• Brings a blanket, some pillows and several candles
• Smiles at the memory of you telling him to leave the mask at home, cupping his cheeks and telling him he was beautiful just the way he was as the two of you made your way to your destination
• After all that has happened he was glad you were still by his side and he had a lot to talk about with you
• Definitely will try to apologize about 5 times 
• You two have a long talk about everything that went down during the elf arc and sort out a lot of thoughts you have
• William holds your hand all the way through
• It’s just you two up there and there is no other sound but your voices and the ticking of the clock
• “You really notice how fast the time passes this way, huh?”, you remark. “It’s time well spent with you”, William answers and pulls you in for a kiss
• You watch the sun set over the city as you’re comfortably wrapped in Williams arms
• Every now and then there is silence between you two, both of you smiling and leaning onto each other as you look through the glass
• It looks like a weight has been lifted off of Williams shoulders
• After the sun has set, you notice William getting a bit sleepy, resting his head on your shoulders and running his fingers along your arms
• You guys watch a shooting star making its way across the night sky and William wishes for you to remain by his side
• He then takes you to a cozy cabin outside of town that he rented for the weekend
• William made sure to get done with his work early this week so he could have more time to spend with you
• He has grown that tree himself
• Makes you a tea and holds you a long monologue about how much he enjoyed his time with you and how much you mean to him
• “Thank you for accepting me the way I am, y/n. Despite my flaws and my mistakes and all that resulted from them, you were able to see past the burdens I carry and the wrongs I have done and were willing to love the strength and potential I myself struggled to believe in not too long ago. I truly couldn’t ask for anyone more amazing to have by my side. I am grateful for all you have done for me. I love you.”
• You fall asleep with your arms wrapped around him, his head comfortably resting on your shoulder and his legs wrapped around yours. “I love you, William”, you whisper before you do and press a kiss to his scar. He’s already too tired to respond but you can see his lips twisting into a sweet smile as he drifts off to sleep.

• Is it really a date with Mereoleona Vermillion if you’re not at least in mortal danger once or surrounded by a large amount of fire?
• Mereoleona takes you to the Yultim Volcano Trail to train you, personally.
• You had told her to pick where she wanted to go and this is her understanding of an ideal date.
• A strong magic region wasn’t exactly what you were expecting but then again, you should have seen it coming
• Honestly Mereoleona sees potential in you and she loves you so she wants to see you grow as a person and as a fighter.
• + if you train more, you’re better at protecting yourself and she needs to worry less about you because that is a thing she does every now and then even if she won’t admit it
• Her training is hard and she doesn’t make an exception for you
• She might however compliment you more on your successes than she does anyone else
• She’ll do the training with you though. All the way she’ll be right by your side and if you’re not completely occupied with pushing past your limits and completing whatever task she may have given you, you might catch her smiling at you from the side. It’s a proud smile indicating that she has faith in you.
• You’re also safe with her by your side. Mereoleona knows what you’re capable off, she knows the strong magic region and she knows where your limits are so if there’s a monster you can’t defeat she’s ready to step in if necessary.
• Mereoleona gives you a headpat once you’re finished with the trail. “You’ve done well”, she remarks, tilts your chin up and presses a kiss to your lips.
• You celebrate your victory and progress with her; sitting down and casually talking about what happened during the training while Mereo has an arm wrapped around you.
• She would crack a few macabre jokes about the monsters there and the climate
• You can see that she’s in a good mood and is enjoying her time with you
• If you’re up for it, you can spend some time with her in the hot springs.
• Regardless, there’ll be cuddles. Training takes a lot of energy out of both of you and you deserve her affection as a reward for your hard work
• Honestly relaxing with Mereoleona in the hot springs is probably the time when she’s open for deep conversations. Meaning she’s more likely to voice thoughts other people around her might not get to hear. Whether it’s stories from her childhood, opinions about the Clover Kingdom, discussions about recent events or her feelings towards you, those are the moments she’s the most open with you.
• It’s just you, her, the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the deadly volcano.
• + a whole lot of love

• Yami Sukehiro will take you to what we in Germany call a beer garden.
• Basically an outdoor area serving beer and local foods, with music as your entertainment
• He doesn’t even really perceive it as a date, that’s just Yami for you
• He was planning to go anyway and he just asked you if you wanted to tag along. You’re his partner after all and he enjoys spending time with you. So if you’re going with him, good for him
• Lets you pick where you want to sit
• Ready to threaten anyone who isn’t super respectful towards you
• Yami will definitely eat and drink a lot. He pays for your food and lets you try some of his.
• He’s pretty talkative when he’s with you and cracks quite a couple of jokes too
• Asks you if you like the music. If you don’t he’ll yell at them to play something else.
• “What, you wanna dance or somethin’?”
• He asks as a joke but if you want to he’ll do it
• A pretty decent dancer as much as you wouldn’t expect it of him.
• Wraps an arm around your waist and gives you an encouraging smile
• If you’re wearing a dress or something else that doesn’t really keep you warm he’ll ask you “Aren’t you cold or something” and wrap a jacket around your shoulder
• Unless you care much about table manners and date traditions you should have a fun time around Yami
• He may be a little rough around the edges but he’s there for you when you need encouragement and a lot of the things he says are pretty decent advice and can brighten up your day.
• If you meet someone he knows, he’ll introduce you and you can definitely see that he’s proud to have you as his partner
• He’s not one to openly compliment a lot but when he talks about you to other people, whether you are currently present or not, he’s always very respectful and appreciative in his own way
• Depending on the day he might drink too much and pass out though
• Finral will bring the two of you home, with Yami being sound asleep all the way.
• Once he’s in his bed you put a blanket over him and he tightly wraps his arms around you, unwilling to let you go
• So you stay with him
• In the morning he wakes you with a kiss
• “I suppose I passed out yesterday huh?”, he laughs, “sorry ‘bout that. I’ve had a blast though, we can do that again sometime.”

• Again there is me with the Faust references. Faust’s first date with Margaret was in a garden, so it’s only fitting for Nacht Faust to take you out to a beautiful garden.
• He’ll definitely kiss your hand when he picks you up
• Greets you with a warm smile
• He uses his magic to take you to the garden he picked out
• Takes you there at night when there’s a lot of fireflies around
• Offers you his arm as the two of you wander around the area
• Nacht doesn’t really save any affectionate gestures or his thoughts about you when you two are alone. He’s a very straightforward and honest person and he sees no point in not letting you know how he feels about you. So expect a lot of heartfelt praise.
• Sometimes he stops in his tracks to pull you close and kiss you. His kisses are sweet and passionate and he smiles into them
• After that he runs his fingertips through your hair and smiles at you, seemingly lost in thought, before he presses several soft kisses to your forehead
• He brought tea for you as well
• He’ll recommend you some he really likes
• Will pick a flower that he thinks suits you most and give it to you. He’ll explain the symbolism behind it and why it made him think of you
• Lots of deep conversations
• Seriously Nacht is such a sucker for deep conversations and out of all the Black Bulls he’s probably the one who cares most about your opinions, feelings and perspectives about things
• Expect philosophical questions
• Bonus points if you can give an answer that he didn’t expect or that will actually make him reconsider his own
• Cups your cheeks a lot
• He noticeably enjoys the atmosphere
• Occasionally you can catch him brooding about upcoming battles or challenges and he visibly worries about you and vows to protect you from harm to the best of his abilities, even if he isn’t vocal about it
• Nacht likes good people and to him you are a good person and deserve only the best he has to offer. He wants to see you being rewarded for all the happiness you’ve brought him so he wants this to be a memorable day for you
• You know that smile he does in the manga when he says “You chose right” You’ll see that one a lot
• He does this thing where he closes his eyes and leans into your touch when you put a hand onto his cheek.
• He’s such a sweet and appreciative guy
• Eventually rests his head in your lap and relaxes with his eyes closed for a while as you run your fingers through his black hair

• This happens within the first few weeks after you started dating Magna Swing.
• He’s pretty inexperienced when it comes to dates and anything of the sort, but he really thought this through (and Vanessa and Finral thought this through with him).
• You already know where he’s taking you because Magna isn’t the type to just have you go on surprise dates, especially because of his inexperience.
• He doesn’t want anything to be awkward so he usually tells you his ideas (or the ideas he brainstormed with Finral and Vanessa) and asks you if you’d be up for that or would like that. It takes the pressure off him and makes the anticipation better for him.
• Magna is literally the sweetest guy in a relationship. He’ll pick you up right on your doorstep and presses a quick kiss to your lips. “You ready for the full Magna experience?”, he says with his usual tough guy attitude and grins at you. He’ll hold your hand all the way to his broom.
• Tell him the Crazy Cyclone is cool pls, he’ll be happy
• He will definitely point out that it is regardless of the fact that you’ve seen it a lot of times
• He’ll take you for a ride on his broom.
• Alternatively you can take your own broom which may or may not result in a petty “who’s the first at the finish line?” race which Magna will either brag about if he won or deny ever having lost it.
• But then you’d miss out on his flustered face as you sit down behind him and wrap your arms around him.
• Rest your head on his shoulders while you two are flying and he’ll melt. He’s so happy with you. And on top of that you’re enjoying his cool ride and he gets to show off.
• Magna still tries to impress you and boast in front of you and he might not be fully aware that you see through his tough guy act and love this aspect of him just as much as everything else about him.
• You two land on top of a cliff overlooking a beautiful landscape. The sun is starting to set and the two of you brought blankets and hot cocoa.
• Magna definitely doesn’t let go of you unless you want him to. He’ll either have an arm wrapped around you, is hugging you from behind or has his head leaned against you
• Also lots of kisses. Magna is already a PDA champ so when you two are alone he’s even more affectionate. He’ll give you long and slow kisses while resting a hand against your cheek.
• Pours all of his feelings into them. He can act like a delinquent but he can’t fool you with how sweet and gentle his kisses are.
• Grills marshmallows with you over a campfire (lit by his magic). He’ll also offer you his jacket mainly because he thinks you look cool and really beautiful wearing it.
• Conversations can be about anything you want. Magna, similar to Asta, is a person who can get excited over pretty much anything and he’ll try to contribute something to the topic
• Overall it’s just a really fun time. Magna is a free-spirited and lively person and days like these are the times you two end up trying to catch your breath after laughing too hard
• Magna leans his forehead against yours and tells you that he loves you.
• Let’s you fly the Crazy Cyclone on the way back if you can. You’re one of the only people he trusts enough to let you do that.
• Magna and you spend time together a lot and each time you come back with your bond a little bit stronger than it used to be
• He’ll definitely brag about his awesome s/o back at the hideout.

• Having been around Julius Novachrono for a while you knew exactly what a magic nerd he really was.
• So it really didn’t come as a surprise to anyone when he proposed checking out several magic shops around the Clover Kingdom with you as a date idea. And who can blame him, magic shops are pretty neat after all.
• With the way he excitedly talks about all kinds of magic it’s likely you somewhat developed an interest in his ramblings by now anyway
• Julius travels with you to all kinds of places to check out multiple shops, both in the Royal Capital as well as farther away from it
• He’s already planning to get you something that might catch your interest
• Of course there’ll be a lot of fuss over him if he decides not to disguise himself; after all it isn’t every day that the Wizard King himself visits the town (at least not to the people’s knowledge). Especially the shopkeepers would be delighted.
• Julius would hold your hand or link his arm with yours as you walk around between the shops. 
• He’d point at some magic items that you could test and asks you to try them out; excitedly watching you as you do 
• The two of you definitely fool around with some of the more amusing items, especially joke objects. 
• He’s very knowledgeable about most of the stuff there, so he’ll explain anything to you that you don’t know
• He’ll also check out the black markets with you if you’re brave enough for that. We know he wanders around them sometimes
• You get to witness his eyes sparkle and his smile widening when he sees something unique or very rare
• Also he’s very likely to buy that if he has any use for it or if it isn’t dangerous
• He’s so happy if you show some excitement too
• He smiles at you when you’re not looking 
• The cashiers and shop assistants definitely pick up on the fact that he loves you deeply from the way he looks at you
• The two of you also start conversations with other customers; especially if Julius isn’t disguised
• He might buy some magic items for the people that are present, especially those who need something but can’t afford it
• Julius keeps a close eye on you and on whatever you seem to like most and then gets it for you after distracting you for a bit
• Hands it to you once you are back from your trip
• Tells you he’s happy to have met you and to be by your side, he kisses you once you have opened the present and gives you a hug
• He’ll tell Marx about the things you two have seen in the shops and shows him the stuff you bought while having his arm wrapped around your shoulder
• He knows he has to go back to working but he’s had a lot of fun spending the day with you. 

• Marx François is a simple man when it comes to dates and spending time with you. An afternoon of drinking tea and eating bakery goods with the person he adores most in a nice little café is all he needs to de-stress after a long work day.
• But to actually get him to take a break for a while and hang out with you is a challenge in itself
• Even when he’s on the date with you, he’s always ready to be called in to work or to contact Julius if necessary. However spending time with you has proven pretty effective to distract him from work-related thoughts for a while. 
• Brings you flowers that reminded him of you
• Also compliments you whenever something comes to mind, like if he thinks you look pretty today or if you’ve accomplished something recently
• Marx is the type to bring your jacket / coat to the hanger for you and press a kiss to your cheek before he does
• Marx usually always orders the exact same thing at a cafe but he’ll try whatever you get if you offer it to him. This is how he discovers some new favorites of his when it comes to food and drinks.
• He’ll sit across from you and holds your hand while you’re there
• Smiles at you a lot 
• And his smile is precious when he does
• In fact one does not usually see him smile as much as he does when he’s with you
• He’s going to rant a bit about his work day and Julius’ irresponsibility but it’s very evident while he talks that he respects Julius a lot and is passionate about his job
• After a while the topics shift more towards your own life and trivial matters
• Marx is a very good listener, he pays attention to what you have to say and he doesn’t really get bored with most topics
• Runs his thumb across the back of your hand when he’s lost in thought
• Makes sure to inquire about whether or not you’re having a good time because he wants to be the best he can be as your partner
• It’s honestly really cozy and a fun time
• Marx offers to pay for the food and drinks but he’s fine with it if you want to share 
• Walks you home with an arm wrapped around your waist
• He definitely thanks you for the time you spent with him and tells you he really enjoyed it. 
• Also gives you a goodbye kiss and a long hug if he has to go

• Alecdora Sandler may not be the first person you’d think of when it comes to romantic gestures and well-organized dinner dates, but he does them anyway for the purpose of not risking your date to be awkward.
• He has a reputation to protect after all. Can’t have word about him messing up while going out with you spreading to his fellow squad members or god forbid Captain Vangeance. And apart from that, the moment he sees your smile as you look upon the location he has prepared for you and as you gently take his hand into your own, he realizes it was worth it
• He’s kind of proud of it too
• Shows up dressed fancier than usual. He wants to leave an impression.
• He has money so he hired gourmet chefs to prepare your food. He didn’t cook food himself because Alecdora cooking would probably result in conflagration
• He puts all the manners he learnt throughout his life to use. Pulls the chair out for you and everything
• He’s definitely not nervous or anything (he is, he lowkey doesn’t know what he’s doing)
• Oh there’s so much uncomfortable silence with this one unless you’ve been together for a while
• Much like Marx he’ll sit across from you and holds your hand
• Rants about his job
• And about Yuno
• And he might talk a little much about Captain Vangeance
• Praise him for the work he does and he’ll smile like he just received a Christmas present. Hearing that the person he loves appreciates him like this makes him feel reassured and validated
• He’ll make sure to give you all the credit you deserve as well!
• Cares a lot about everything being perfect. Slightly stressed out when something doesn’t go according to plan. When he’s dedicated to someone, Alecdora will make sure to show them his best efforts.
• He won’t mind literally anything you do, whether it’s knocking a candle over or dropping drink but if he does any clumsy mistake, he’s so hard on himself
• Kinda struggles to believe you when you tell him you have fun and are happy as long as he’s there with you
• But it does make him feel good to hear that
• Asks you if you’re enjoying your food once you’re eating
• Kisses your cheek after you’re done
• Definitely insists on paying for everything

• The elf tribe itself or at least the biggest portion of it may be long gone but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still a few empty settlements or similar around.
• Patri will take you to a beautiful area where elves used to celebrate or carry out certain traditions.
• After all that time it’s pretty worn down but before he takes you there he makes sure to fix what he can so you can at least somewhat imagine what it used to be like
• While it’s beautiful and Patri feels comfortable and at home there, this date also comes with a slight trace of melancholy from his side. He misses the elves and what life with them used to be like and you know that.
• He appreciates if you try to cheer him up or squeeze his hand to show him that even though he feels lonely a lot (and rightly so), you’re there for him when he needs you
• Chuckles if he sees you marvel at all the different items and decorations that used to be so self-evident to him
• He’ll talk a lot about how things used to be in the past, explaining all kinds of elf traditions to you and talking about his own childhood experiences.
• He mentions a lot of names too of elves he used to know and places they used to be at
• It’s very interesting to know but at the same time it’s sad how forgotten this part of history had become
• He’s lost in thought a lot but being there with you helps him sort out his thoughts a bit even if he may zone out every now and then
• But you can also see him smile at some of the memories
• It’s a peaceful smile that shows you despite the tragedy that has happened he can still look back onto happier days and enjoy the memories he made
• And he’s glad he gets to share some of those memories with you
• Even if he wishes he could introduce you to all the elves and show you the world he grew up in
• He makes sure to show you how grateful he is to have you by his side 
• “At least I still have you”, he says and presses a kiss to your forehead
• Patri holds your hand while you wander around the area
• Eventually you watch the sunset and it feels like your boyfriend shared a part of his world with you
• He rests his head on your lap and you run your hand through his hair
• For the first time in a long time he’s looking forward to the future because you’re in it. Before that he didn’t really have anything to look forward to; all that really mattered to him was lost in the past. But he can’t wait to spend more time with you.
